1. You should see Sweden then...you won't get a gig if you don't show up with a fender. Just look at the market here, there are beautiful non fender basses for sale at really low prices, nobody wants them. Last year I bough a Warwick for something like 300£ and it had been for sale for a year or so. More strings shure but then it has to be your own band. I've never experienced a place were contacts, looks and gear mattered so much more than skills than here. Maybe because we are so few? Who knows. Strange mentality.
2.
*** INFLATION ALERT *** GBP 2,000 for an Ibanez? It's like paying GBP 20/kg for sirloin steak, when it used to be GBP 15/kg a year ago.
You don't pay 2000 for an Ibanez. You pay 2000 for an amazing bass, how can that be so hard to get?
3.
It's just a badge thing. Like those sad cases that get rid of Squier on the headstock and put a Fender decal on. If that Ibby was worth the asking price then I'd buy it.
It's seems to be a badge thing why people DON'T buy it. Put a FODERA on the headstock and people would find it a bargain. This is certainly an amazing instrument. Not played one=no opinion.
4. Damn! I'm looking for the red TRB 6 I. Just bought the TRB 6P mk 1 and want the brother...
5. Just got one of these yesterday. I went to the store with no intention of buying anything when I saw this sucker and began to play it. Oh man...I couldn't part ways with the instrument, it's simply the best bass I've played since my Yamaha TRB 6P. I've owned more than 50 basses in my life. I understand the price tag completely, you really need to play this instrument before criticizing it. The feel is totally professional the neck profile is perfect, not like those unplayable SR-toothpicks. It's balances perfectly and sounds good for anything. I can really play on this one. The bass invites for playing and beats my old ibanez btb 1206 prestige BIG TIME in every aspect but looks and pickups (and that btb was a work of art) The cons: heavy weight (for me, it's somewhere around 5 kg), not as quiet electronics as I would like from an expensive bass, e string feels a little dull. Other than that its a dream bass come true. Try one, this bass will be a cult instrument in the future.

7. Have a bump my friend, I just got one exactly like this and it's a joy!
8.
Er...You know that sound is a subjective matter don't you?
Absolutely, but the subjective opinion of a great bassist is not to be taken lightly like the subjective opinion of a charlatan who thinks technique is irrelevant.
9. Di Marzio model J/P...best PU for the buck.
10.
It took you 5 basses to work this out!?
Actually yes. There are LOTS of factors behind a bad sounding bass. And there are several EMG models, never thought it was the whole brand that was flawed. But I forgot...you were trying to be fun or smart there. Hi five.
11.
Do you have any evidence to back up this rather strange claim?
Evidence? You know that sound is a subjective matter don't you? I'll had 5 basses with EMG's they all sounded awful. What a garbage PU-brand. At least for bass.
12. Worst PU eveeeeeeeeeeer! EMG=annoying buzz and enhancing of the most annoying bass frequencies. To me a bass with EMGs is the same as NO.
13.
I personally really like the Katana shape, I think it may have been a little bit too quirky, in an "un-warwick" kinda way, if that makes sense? The weirder Warwick shapes a more elegant you see, but the Katana always seemed like a bass that put function before form, which is never a bad thing, at the end of the day, we have to be comfortable on these big chunks of wood or we will keep looking for something else. Just a quick thing for Warwick Official, has there ever been a 6 string version of the Katana made?...
I feel inclined to agree
14. To me, its not uglier than the shape of a Telecaster for example. It's different! Different is good! Specially when it ergonomically works. There's still a long way for the left hand to the first frets like in many Warwicks I've tested but you get used to it. Great to know that they still exist! Mr. Warwick! It would be great to know more about these basses, could barely find anything on the web when I was going to buy one...What is the story behind the bass? I read something about a design contest?
15. I was wondering the other day: What happened to this model? It was obviously a big market failure but I personally think its one of the most comfortable basses I've ever had (still do). It is pretty light, sounds killer (not much unlike a Corvette really) it's very well balanced and has a great support for the right forearm, it makes it almost equally easy to play on the front and back PU and has a brutally fat neck. (=Good) Were was the fail? The body form? To much like a Corvette but with another body? What do you think? Are there any other Katana wielders here?

17. Satrugar, thats a VERY nice SR, maybe the finest I've seen. I pulled back in the last second today, sat and played the 5 stringed version and could never feel well with the position the right hand "gets" on it naturally. Unbalanced in a strange way because it really shouldn't! But it is...strange design.
18.
Hi Inti and welcome to the forum, I I like some Swedish bands like dark tranquility , skyfire, crash diet and crazy lixx Hope you enjoy the forum best wishes paul
Thank you, nice to be here. I've already met several nice chaps! People are really helpful here.
19. Have a bump on me...this one is hot! Many speculants but no one's biting yet...
20. Thats a great bass. I found no difference between this and the Japan RI so I took this one...who cares about a name on a headstock? Good luck with your sale.
21. I am going for it today, any other comment on the subject?
