Do you have adjustable pole pups?
the strings are what was on the bass when i bought it in january new,it has just started but only on my main set up not my practice amp.seems a bit strange to me,oh and i have adjusted pups slightly as well.

  4.
So can I. I have used Ashdown exclusively since 1999 for gigs/rehearsals/recording an average of 3 - 4 times per week and have never had any issue of any sort with the ranges I have used (ABM, MAG and, currently, Superfly).
im going to buy a500 evo11 or a klystron head as theres some good deals at the moment.some say that theres no differance in the two apart from the price!
  5. heard a few stories about the newer models of the abm range not being as reliable as the older ones anyone had any experience of this?

  9.
orange high end hiwatt? some marshall DHA
peavey cabs?no probably china!
  10. just heard that marshalls mb range is made in india and it got me thinking that apart from the top of the range ashdowns is there any other equipment actually made in this country.years ago we were spoilt for choice h/h,wem,carlsbro etc.
  11. thanks for all that,i got a trace 300w 1x15 combo which sounds good but you hear people say that a seperate head with a cab or cabs makes a better sound.perhaps i need to try another cab with mine first before i decide.very tempted with the ashdown though, nearly all traces about are combos.

anyone got an opinion on the ashdown abm evo11 3oow head.theres a few about for a good price.wondered if they had a sound similar too a trace?also any ideas on the best value for money cabs,1x15 and 2x10.
  13.
I've finally got round to selling my Trace Elliot 7215 combo. I bought it new around 1997/98. I'm pretty sure it's a pre-Gibson model (the one without built-in compression). The speaker does tend to cut out and crackle from time to time. I've checked the speaker connections and they seem fine. The same thing happened a few years ago. Took it to my local music shop and they repaired it for £50. Turned out it was a dry joint in the amp. It's been well gigged so it's a little shabby but it's a great sounding amp. I have the original user guide and I think I have the original box somewhere too. I would prefer collection but delivery (at buyers cost) could be arranged depending on location. Any offers? Cheers, hi,has the amp got the vinyl or the greeny carpet covering?also has it 2 port holes, cheers tony.

  15. hi,i have a trace elliott gp7 7215 combo and after an hours playing it started to make a loud buzzing noise.with the volume turned down and guitar lead unplugged the noise continued.it stopped after i gave it a slight knock but when switched on the next day it was noisey again, any ideas?
