  1. This looks like the most sensible solution to me.
  2. I‘m assuming that the receiver is something smaller than a 19” rack unit? What about this? https://m.thomann.de/gb/millenium_laptopstand_tripod.htm
  3. John East, a fabulous product line and a nice bloke to boot. I love it when things work out like that.
  4. I will indeed. Thanks for posting.
  5. I only listened to the first few minutes ‘cos it’s late and I’m off to bed, but. I really liked what I heard. Who are they then? Not meaning the band name, Pidgeons Playing Ping-pong, but as in where’d they come from etc.?
  6. That’s ‘ckin‘ ace. Well done that man.
  7. Hi Guys, I have a problem using the FI Editor on both my laptop and my desk top. The window is always open to maximum size which cuts off the bottom bit and, try as I might, I can't reduce the size to allow me access to stuff at the bottom. Any suggestions?
  8. Yep, that won't be belt rash he mentions in the description.
  9. Sounds like a hard (core) day at the orifice.
  10. This reminds me of that excellent documentary Only the Strong Survive featuring (among others) the very excellent Rufus Thomas and Sam Moore. Sadly, some of the artists were playing small venues struggling to make a living.
  11. Congratulations! Now go and get some rest 😜
  12. Hi Stew, can I recommend one of these over the bungee cords? Solid as a rock so you don’t get the “case-rolling-off-sideways-at-a-curb” Syndrome. https://www.amazon.de/Master-Lock-3209eurdat-schnell-Ratsche/dp/B00M48KW3G/ref=asc_df_B00M48KW3G/?tag=googshopde-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=278547788633&hvpos=1o3&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2648991703138873041&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9060640&hvtargid=pla-434064890779&psc=1&th=1&psc=1#immersive-view_1568702804971 I think they’re called tension belts in English but I’m not certain. Anyway, they work a treat and are more reliable than bungees.
  13. Wasn‘t the bass-player from the Bloodhound Gang known whipping out his tackle. Often immediately prior to his whazzing on the singer, I seem to recall. Not, strictly speaking, full on nudity.
  14. Maybe take a look at an online rig rundown for Royal Blood? I googled it just now and got this article. Maybe it could be of some help. https://www.quora.com/How-does-a-band-like-Royal-Blood-one-bassist-one-drummer-create-the-sound-of-a-full-band
  15. Wow, thanks for your efforts. I’ll definitely take a closer look at the settings on MobileSheets. You‘re right, of course, at present I‘ve got everything as PDFs. Part of the reason for that being that they come from a variety of sources. Handwritten/scanned in, MuseScore saved as PDFs and PDFs donated by/cadged from mates. Thanks again, Paul.
  16. Interesting stuff @TrevorR. At the risk of derailing the thread, I'm interested in scrolling because my, supposedly, 13" tablet is a cheat. It's not proper 13" like the iPad Pro. It's more long and narrow which leads to the Mobile Sheets Pro App. cropping charts to make them as small as on a 10" screen which, for my old eyes, rather defeats the object. However, when I lay it landscape-wise the pages are full A4 but you can only see half a sheet at a time. I wanted to scroll that way, but colleagues have warned me off doing that, having experienced 'jumps' intead of smooth scrolling which can leave you "off-page". Any tips for that? My PageFlip offers the function but I haven't gotten it to work so far.
  17. That AirTurn looks pretty cool. I’ve got one with bells and whistles but actually only do basic page turning and I must admit that, much as it works fine with soft touch pedals, the feel of a stomp box switch would be more reassuring. I paid the extra after hearing horror stories about reliability. Has the AirTurn been safe so far?
  18. I use the PageFlip Firefly with an Android tablet and Mobile Sheets Pro. It’s super reliable but pricey. https://m.thomann.de/gb/pageflip_firefly.htm
  19. Sounds like a cool gig. Well done. ....you are Ed Friedland ( Bass whisperer) and I claim my £5.
  20. Those are some killer sounds mate!
  21. While I’m here, I’d like to thank Quatschmacher for all his help, both here and on the occasions where we’ve met in person. It really is a huge help chatting with someone who is both a user and has such expansive knowledge of synthesis.
  22. @Al Krow much as I‘m very much in agreement with your views on fair pay for work, bear in mind that Panda Audio is essentially one person and not a large, exploitative corporation. I would also like to see Quatschmacher remunerated in some form, but my impression is that Andras (who basically IS Panda Audio) is also an enthusiast with limited resources. @Quatschmacher please feel free to jump in and correct me on this.
  23. “I referred to the police as Five-O the other day and was tutted at by a youth, “Feds?” I offered, more tutting. I was informed that the current nomenclature round these parts is Po-Po.„ In German po-po is equivalent to the babyish expression botty.
