It would help even to have one a month. Its getting another perspectice that counts as I find this really helpfull. From knowing absolutely nothing a year ago about technique and now my beginnings in improv, I found lessons really helpfull. I started from about a year of teaching myself and pretty much nothing else.

I'm sure the OP said smallest! 'course, the smallest may not be the loudest. So I read that as a maximum of a 10" speaker or something two 5" aka PJB. There's scope in there for someone, but I'm no expert.

I dont know if there would be any saving of space. Err, a 15 inch speaker in a rucksac? not good for aerodynamics on a bike eh!

Something also came to mind. I had a look inside my Line 6, and it made me think. The amp itself, is quite small, and would more than likely fit into a re-engineered box. Or event just a small wooden 'shoe' as the amp comes out with the face plate intact, so you would still have all buttons and printed plate in place. The box, then, since is blanked off inside could be made smaller? I'm not sure about this, but I'm sure Alex from Bare Faced might be able to help you. If it did work, you should get two very small component parts with a goodly amount of oomph! PLus if the amp is in a back pack then it would be less likely to get weather damage, whereas the box, if needed could be replaced at a much smaller cost. This is strictly theoretical as I have no idea about building cabs. But if the box is the same size, then why not.....no? I know im going to start a debate about cab design now!

My bass tutor uses one. Its a pretty nice sound. I haven't heard it at full chat yet though! Line 6 moves an amazing amount of air for it's size.

GK do a small 100-150 watt combo bass thing. other wise, the line 6 lowdown 110 is ideal. It's not too heavy and would be fine on a sports rack. I've just got one! Line 6 puts out about 75W. GK is slightly bigger in size tho Beleive it or not harley davidson did a large rifle carryier that can be fitted to a motorbike. There was a place in North London that you could get one from. I'm just thinking that a hard case with something a like a pannier mount might be best for a small travelling headless bass.

Small hard case for small bass, small but loudish amp etc. I was definitely thinking about a headless type thing for strength etc.

Does anyone know if a simple travel/practice bass is currently available. Im thinking of something like one of those stick guitar type things if that make sense. Maybe a short scale, single pick up (?), compact sized bass etc Cheers Matt
