  1. An absolutely wonderful bass which I don't use enough as I am using a 5 string for most of my gigs. It's too good not to be regularly played.

A USA Deluxe Precision, although it's technically a PJ as it has a jazz pickup too for ultimate versatility. N3 noiseless pickups, and 18v preamp with master volume, pickup blend, bass/treble, mids/passive tone control and active/passive switch. In really good condition - one ding on the top and a small dent under the neck which I can send a picture of. Otherwise 9/10 condition.

Plays really nice, sounds huge. Extremely versatile! Comes with original fender hardshell case. Pickup from near Colchester, Essex, though I do gig around quite a bit.

  2. A backbeat in black, with carry case and power supply in perfect condition. I bought it unusued, and I've used it on 2 gigs. It's pretty amazing and makes it feel like you have a huge rig behind you, but I'm going in a different direction and won't be needing it. Read more about it here: http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Backbeat.html

New is £330, so save £80!

Pickup from near Braintree/Colchester, or can post for £5

  3. I've been through so many different basses, but I think my current crop really represent what I value in bass guitars - a really good jazz and precision sound. So I have a 71P and 71J, a Limelight PJ (with Sadowsky Preamp), a Bacchus Jazz 5 (with Sadowsky preamp!) and a Fender deluxe PJ (which I'm going to sell but is still great). All Fenders or Fender clones. The only outliers are a Rimbass 5 singlecut (such a good deal I couldn't turn it down) and my fretless choice is a Stingray 5 - just sounds wonderful. But mainly it's that fender sound that I feel just cannot be beaten.
