I’d love this amp but this is exactly my position - I’ve ended up spending £500 on high end tube preamp/DI instead, and for the odd gig I get where I need an amp I’ve got I can’t justify it 😢 That rig above with the amp & the MB 4x10 must sound absolutely amazing 🤩
Yeah, I’ve used it with front ported MB 4x10 and 4ohm 2x10 and it’s huuuuge!

That looks like a very nice amp.
Thanks. It’s wonderful - it’s just that most of my gigs now are silent stage on IEMs (or at most a small combo) so it’s just not getting used and that’s a real shame.

Hi all. Selling my fantastic and HUGE sounding MB Randy Jackson TTE500 head. This thing - especially in conjunction with my Markbass cabs - is exceptionally powerful and sounds so great I pretty much never adjust anything.
I've had it for a few years now and it's had light gigging but always cared for. In 2017 I spent £300 on a new power supply/power amp which was fitted and tested by Witham Amp Repairs with parts bought directly from Mark Bass.
The only very minor issue is that on the left hand metallic safety bar, the bottom screw has become unscrewed and it's fallen into the amp so the bar isn't fully attached. I didn't feel like opening up the amp (I leave things like that to bigger boys!) so you can hear/see the screw but it's literally no issue (and probably fixable). I've put a picture of it there but I'm happy to do a video call showing it if necessary.
It comes in a bag I bought online somewhere that I pad out with a couple of bits of foam or something. Looking for £420 please.
Collections from near Colchester, Essex (CO6 2PA) but I am on the road with gigs so might be coming to your area!

I thought it was Marcus that left to work for Simms / Enfield as his girlfriend was the daughter of the owner.
Sounds like i might be wrong if people are still dealing with Marcus at BD.
Dave
He just replied to my email promptly, after I thanked them for their quick service.

I've had a few slightly negative experiences (and one broadly positive) with BD in the last few years which I didn't feel totally comfortable posting here. I was actually driving past the shop in the last week (it's hundreds of miles from me) and I opted to book an appt at BassBros instead as I didn't want to go away with that disappointed feeling again.
However: today I was after a particular preamp and BD had it at a good (the best) price, so I took a punt, and within practically minutes it was on its way to Royal Mail and it should be with me tomorrow - absolutely great (online!) service!
Came the next day as suggested, great service. Speedy and a good price.

It wasn't even connecting, it just said they couldn't take my call. For an hour. So I doublechecked phone numbers. It said open 10-2 but I wanted to check stock before I went out of my way to drive there.

I was driving reasonably close by for a gig last Saturday with money for a Sadowsky Metro. I rang and rang to check it was in stock but couldn't get through on the phone despite them apparently being open. Didn't go in the end. Anyone else have issues with the phone number, or is it wrong online?

Mine is definitely this 33" Shuker Jazz V with side LEDs that I got from Jon in 2009. Wish I hadn't sold it, I'd love it back!
-
Beautiful Sadowsky RV4 strung with quite new elixirs. Has a ramp put in by Mike Walsh from Zoot basses but this can be removed.
Stunning bass, stunning sound. Loved by all the sound engineers I work with and just plays with the snap and zing you expect of Sadowskys. Literally the only reason I'm selling is to buy the PJ version as I need a P for most of my shows.
It's nice and light, under 9lbs.
Morado (Pau Ferro), Alder body, light sadowsky case, tools.
Based near Colchester, Essex. Welcome to come and try it. I do travel with gigs so might be coming your way.

Hi everyone. I’m keen to pick up a Sadowsky PJ Metroline, and I’ve seen a Verdine White for sale that I like the look of. I’m hoping I can get up to try it before buying, but thought I’d ask here if there was much difference between a regular Metro PJ and the Verdine white version? I know visually, there are changes, but I was wondering in terms of body size, neck etc? If anyone’s got experience with both, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Thanks in advance.

I'm in Tooting Mike but i'm prepared to travel within the London area
Thanks for letting me know. I'm in North Essex, wouldn't mind a play really as I love TRBS but I remember the string spacing on my 6er was very wide and I need slightly tighter 5 strings due to my small hands (don't ask why I had a six string!!).
Normally I'm all over doing gigs and could swing by but don't have much your way in the near future and I don't really have any days off!

Never would of thought of that tbh, will have to give it a go!

It all goes very Pinky and Perky but a useful hack occasionally!
I do this a lot when helping students transcribe basslines, stick it up an octave and sometimes you can figure out those hard to hear notes!

I've used Transcribe for 13 years now for hundreds of transcriptions, couldn't be happier with it. Mostly like the slowdown capability, but also the ability to pitch shift, and change EQ to make bass clearer.
It's also useful as it lets you loop bits of songs, so helpful for learning sections. There's even foot pedal support so you can start/stop playback without having to hit the keyboard/mouse.
The maintainer is also really nice, he's responded personally to questions/problems I've had in the past.
Came here to say pretty much exactly this!

Looking at their latest newsletter, they're no longer saying the new website will be up and running by the end of January - I can't say I'm surprised, must be a helluva task
to spell everything correctly!
And this is incredibly minor but I see it *everywhere* now...it's 'first come, first SERVED', not 'first come, first serve'!
Grrr!
