  1. Here we have a nice 2003 Custom Shop Precision Relic Nice bit of relicing with some added dings over the years and in great condition Very little fret wear Tweed case showing some scuff marks but otherwise in nice condition Fender skinny belt and COA Weight is 4.1Kg's I have priced this quite fairly, some are well over 3 Grand asking price Any question folks please fire away
  2. Brilliant Guys and thanks, I reversed the wires to the neck pot and all sounds as it should, they must have soldered the pickup up wrong....Output restored, another learning day
  3. Another good idea Kevin, thanks
  4. Yes the bass was refinished in the past and the pickups were removed to do this so that may well be the problem, I will check this out
  5. I have recently bought a 73 Fender Jazz, when both vol and tone knobs are on full the output is quite weak and hollow sounding. Roll back the neck Vol to 95/90 and the sound is big, same goes for the bridge Vol when slightly rolled back. Having owned several vintage Jazz's this has never been the case for those instruments, any thoughts guys...
  6. I am actually fixing some chips and dents to my 73 Jazz as we speak, hate it when you feel every divot when playing
  7. Hear hear, totally agree, come back Tony...
  8. I came across this showing that the stacked knobs started in 1961

  11. Here is a great example of a 1976 precision that has been moderately played but looked after like no other vintage precision bass that I have had the pleasure to own and a great player with the A neck and weighs just 3.8 Kg's, just perfect Fret wear is minimal, the body and neck are almost in new condition with no chips or dings, totally original down to the last screw, the guy just loved to look after his gear This belonged to the same guy who's daughter sold the Antigua that I posted here some weeks ago and that sold for near the asking price of £4000 plus
  12. Thanks Chris, the fretless was way over my head so sticking to fretted LOL
  13. How unusual that the red does not fade over time like the 70's models

  17. Now £1800 , trades considered Here we have a lovely Sunburst fretless with maple board The back had some scrapes which I have tried to capture but aapart from that the bass is in overall great condition Pots date to 79, hard to make out the pickups but look to be 80 Tuners in great condition and are not stiff Truss rod working both ways Just a little string marking on the board but otherwise still smooth Nut width is 41mm Weight is 3.8Kg's Comes in a Thoman tweed case I will include delivery to UK addresses and price is firm and sorry no trades

  19. I was chatting to his daughter last night about it, her dad Nick Bigginham who passed away earlier this year left his basses to her and she is in the process of selling them. He took great care of them and this one is very clean
  20. Same ones on my 66 Mustang
  21. I bought this 1985 neck and the frets were removed to make it fretless, I had my Luthier install new frets Got this for a project but never used , in great condition with a lovely smooth neck I am asking less what it cost me to get it as it is now so I think the price is fair
