1. Hi, I've got a shipping box that a Jazz came in, and also the outer box that it came in, available for collection in SE London if anyone needs one?
 2. Bump! Thanks for the comment Graham, I agree they sound great (but then I suppose I would say that!) Any offers?
 3. Hey Lloydy, thanks for the reply, that's what I was hoping! I'll take it!
 4. Hi On the Fuzz Star, has the clip physically broken or does it just not work anymore? What I mean is, do you think it would work if the cables to the old clip were cut and a new clip was soldered on? Not sure I'm being very clear, but if it just needs the bit that clips on to the battery's terminals replacing then I'll happily buy it for £15 and repair it myself. I don't like PSUs.
 5. How about around £250ish? Still entirely open to offers... This fine beast has laid dormant for too long, it wants to be out there making noise and flapping trousers!
 6. Hi all, Here we have a Hartke 4200 Pro 4x10" for trade or sale. Please see images at the links below: image1 image2 image3 image4 Spec:

400W RMS
4 Ohm
4x10" aluminium drivers plus horn (with switch to attenuate or disable)
Freq response 30Hz - 15kHz
Approx. 880mm H x 600mm W x 450mm D, 57Kg (ish!)
It's about 5 years old but has had hardly any use (a handful of gigs and rehearsals, probably less than 50 hours of use). It's in full working order and to be frank it sounds IMMENSE! It was also made to be practically bomb-proof.The front-ported design moves some serious air without needing to drive it hard, the 20mm plywood construction gives it a real solid sound, and the aluminium drivers won't hide any of the tone coming from your bass or amp. Don't take my word for it, though, check out some reviews HERE. I'd say it's in good condition, has the odd small scuff here and there, and a scratch on the Hartke logo (annoyingly this happened whilst it was in a flightcase on the way to a gig!) - see photos for detail. Originally listed on here about a year ago, it literally hasn't been used at all since then. Cab is currently in Leicestershire but by arrangement can be collected either from there or from Southeast London, or I can deliver it for some petrol money. Now onto business: I'm looking to trade this for a G&L L2000 Tribute (ideally sunburst, carved top, maple board...) with cash your way, otherwise I want to sell it to fund an L2k. I'm looking for around £300, open to offers, these did originally retail at about £800 and were the top of the Hartke range before they brought out the Hydrive stuff. Any questions please feel free to ask!
 7. Bought a Crafter electro acoustic 6 stringer from Chris the other day, in immaculate condition and well set up. Pleasure to do business with!
 8. I agree with most of these comments, I'd much rather see some pictures of what I'm potentially going to buy. That said... I do have an ad for a cab up with no pictures! Posted it a while ago and only managed to get pics last weekend (due to geographical factors!) and it turns out I don't actually know how to update/edit the listing to include the pictures - any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Maybe another sticky in the Marketplace about how to make your listing along with what to include etc. would be useful
 9. Hmmmm 2 months too late... Anyone else out there selling one of these?
 10. BUMP! No takers? Like I said the price is open to offers. I was looking to invest the money in a Precision or a G&L L2000, if anyone is interested in a trade with cash either way let me know! Alternatively I am interested in any FX/preamp that will get me a nice thick QOTSA/Nick Oliveri type tone. Sorry about the lack of pictures, should hopefully get chance to take some over Easter. In the meantime remember this is pretty much brand new aside from approx 1.5" scratch on the Hartke logo, very little use! Oh and it goes down to 30Hz
 11. Ok sorry about that. I'm looking for offers around the £400 mark. Let me know if you're interested!
 12. Just trying to gauge interest for the time being, I have a Hartke 4200 Pro 4x10" cab that sits unused 150 miles from me. It's about 4 years old, I've owned it since new for a project that never really got going so it has had hardly any use. Gigged twice, rehearsed maybe a dozen times.

400W RMS
4 Ohm
4x10" aluminium drivers plus horn (which can be attenuated)
Freq response 30Hz - 15kHz
This was the top of the Hartke range before they brought out the Hydrive stuff. It has a big, powerful, rich sound, and the dimensions and weight to match: approx 880mm h x 600mm w x 450mm d, 57kg. It has 2 wheels on the bottom back corner and a handle on the top back corner to push it around, and two manly recessed dish handles on the sides for carrying. It's a very robust cab made from chunky wood, unlike the cheaper Hartkes. It's in as new condition apart from a scratch to the logo on the front, which I guess could be painted over if you were so inclined. No photos as yet I'm afraid, as the cab's currently in Leicestershire and I'm in London, however I will take some when I can. Collection can be arranged from either Leicestershire or London, or I can deliver for fuel money. Full spec and stock photos can be found here, and Harmony Central has some reviews of it too here. If anyone's interested, make me an offer!
 13. Thanks very much for all the responses, all very helpful! Throwoff - I did indeed think about my own conversion, and I think it would be great apart from the fact that all of my DIY projects are, well, unfinished! Len_derby - Thanks, would like to, but it's a bit of a trek from SE London. I have seen a few used Yamahas for sale online but the ones I saw all had cheap looking bridges like on my dirt cheap P copy, kinda put me off a bit. Highfox - buying cheap and modding crossed my mind, but I decided it would probably end up as another money-wasting doomed project, it's kind of reassuring that you advise against it Kerley, Brensabre79 - Squier VMJ is tempting, I've read pretty much nothing but praise for them, but I haven't decided if they are just good instruments or good instruments at that price. I'd like to hear from anyone who has the experience to compare one to a MIM jazz to see what noteworthy differences (if any) there are. Also if anyone has any relevant sound clips I'd love to hear them, especially of a fretless precision. Once again, thanks for all the help!
 14. Hi guys, first off I am new to basschat so be gentle! I am looking to buy my first fretless 4 string bass and would welcome any and all suggestions/recommendations. I've played fretted bass for several years now, never that successfully but then I'm not really looking to become the next JPJ, it's more of a hobby than a way of life to me (apologies to those of a religious disposition for my blatant blasphemy). I have about £350 or so in the kitty, so to me that suggests used Mexi Fender/Aria something or other/Squier Jaco-style 'vintage modified' Jazz plus change, but I am entirely open to new suggestions. The basses that I currently own are both very much mass market far East-produced ones retailing around the £200 mark (Precision copy and Warwick-esque Vintage), and whilst I have nothing against any of that I would like to own a higher quality instrument, and something that would easily make its money back if I really don't get on with fretless and pack it in after a few months! I tend to play stuff between obscure alt and Queens of the Stone Age; fretless might seem an odd choice but I think it would suit my playing style. One other important point is that I'm looking for a lined fingerboard, otherwise I'd be completely lost! MTIA
