1. Thanks, thats what I was hoping. What sort of lead did you use?
2. Hi guys Hopefully a simple question, but I have a gig on 30 December and will need to run a DI line to a PA as well as my cab for backline. I have not tried this before. I use a Genz Benz Streamliner 600 which does have a connection available for DI which I think will work OK but I am not sure if I need to use a DI box as well. Can anyone look at this link to the user manual and see the bit about DI and let me know how it works Cheers, Merry Christmas!!! http://www.genzbenz.com/img/manuals/gb/Streamliner_600_manual.pdf
3. Thanks for all the replies fellas. I'll wait till i get a couple of quid at xmas and then buy something.
4. Yes, a Barefaced, I'd like one of those bad boys. Will get the Christmas list sorted out for one of those if I can find one
5. Hi Jack, I use a Streamliner 600 and play in a classic rock band with 2 guitarists and a very noisy drummer
6. Possibly, hadn't heard of those so will do a bit of research, thanks for the tip
7. I like the idea of a 2 x 12 for portability. My old Ashdown 410 sounded horrible and was really heavy. I use a Genz Benz Streamliner 600 which I love the sound of, just need something to deliver it.
8. Hi, I am looking for a recommendation for a cab that I can use for rehearsal and live backline / smaller pub gigs. I tried a 2 x 12 TC Electronic today and that sounded great, but I am not sure if it would have enough output to cut it in a gig where I am not DI'd through a PA. Do you think it is possible to get something that would handle this requirement for around the sub £500 mark?
9. Hi All, I am thinking about bidding on this old knackered looking jazz bass as a project. Having looked at it again, I do not think it actually is a Fender (see neck plate on the back of the body). What are your thoughts? Look any good for a project or a waste of money? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1978-Fender-Jazz-Bass-Block-inlays-Sienna-burst-/271366693495?ssPageName=ADME:B:BCA:GB:3160 Cheers.
10. I am selling my lovely Vintage V940 Active Fretless Bass. It is in absolutely immaculate condition, with almost new lovely flatwounds on it. The sound is produces is insane - the perfect mwah sound that you love from fretless. It also has a really deep 'thump' when you play it. The reason I am selling it is because I just don't use it enough and need to de-clutter a bit. If you read up on these bassses you will see they really do punch above their weight. For the price I doubt there is a better fretless bass guitar. If you want more info here is a useful link: http://www.badlandsguitars.co.uk/index.php/shopbassguitars/78-vintage-v940-active-bass I live near South Birmingham and am looking for £150 for it. Collection only please. Any questions, just shout.
11. C'mon guys. It's gotta sell soon. It's on eBay as well so will get a buyer soon. It's cheaper on here than eBay
12. Hi, yes that is the one. Exactly that.
13. Hi there. I live near bromsgrove. Not too far from Dudley
14. Hi. Sorry I don't have pics at the mo as its packed away under protective cover with some other kit. To be honest you wouldn't see much different than if I posted a pic of a new one on here. It's a complete bargain if you're interested
15. Hi. It's basically one of these with the blue speakers http://www.soundsliveshop.com/p/Ashdown_MAG_C410T-300_Evo_II_Bass_Combo_Amplifier/ASH-MAGC410T300 I'm not exactly sure of its age but it's really good nick and a bargain I don't have any pics because it has been under cover and stowed away in a safe corner of the garage for a while. Bit it looks just like an Ashdown mag 410 combo in really good condition. Better than all those on eBay. Anyone want to do a trade for the mag 410 evo combo + ABM 115 deep cab? I want to swap for a new head as I've also acquired another cab!
16. 4x10 speaker, Sounds awesome and can take a massive load. Brilliant for pubs and when combined with a 15 can fill a bigger gig. It's in good nick, I keep all must kit clean and look after it. Gigged about 6 times otherwise used at home. Nothing at all wrong with it, solid. Sell for £150 or trade. Also selling ABM 115 cab. South Birmingham collection. Need to sell ASAP!
17. 15inch speaker, Sounds awesome and can take a massive load. It's solid, better than the MAG range and in good nick. Gigged about 6 times otherwise used at home. Nothing at all wrong with it, solid. Sell for £150 or trade. Also selling Mag 410 combo. South Birmingham collection. Need to sell ASAP!
18. I love my Sandberg. It sounds feckin ace. Doubt I'll ever need another bass.
19.
Sounds like normal stainless Roto's, to me they always feel very rough compared to nickel rounds will chew your fingers and frets.
Think I agree. They feel rough as f**k. Why would anyone use these strings? They do say stainless steel on them but I've only ever used nickel coated before. Horrible things. Anyone else out there use 'em?
20. Dudes. I've fitted some new roto sound 66 swing bass to my bass tonight and it feels like my fingers are sticking to them! I'm not sure if it's my imagination but it feels like I can't play the bass properly. Could the coating have come off them or summat? Feels like raw steel. Horrible. Has anyone else had this experience? Might have to put the old ones back on. FYI I got them from a highly reputable specialist bass centre so they shouldn't be dud.
21. My first was a Columbus jazz. Wish I still had it now. Just saw one sold on EB for £147. In today's money this equals about 50 times the price of a pint! Bargain
22. Can't stop telling people about this but I picked up my new bass today and it it fecking stunning. Sandberg PM 4. Got the Musicman pick up http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Sandberg_PM4.html
