  1. Absolutely gutted to be having to do this, but whatever's wrong with this amp is beyond me. Details of the problem can be found in this thread: Since starting that thread I have followed the advice given and cleaned the fx loop sockets with a squirt of contact cleaner on a jack and had the amp running for hours on end without a problem. Until eventually it comes back. I did that last week and subsequently ran the amp every day for four days, leaving it on all afternoon, then giving it a break, then running it all evening. Day one, no problem. Day two, afternoon no problem, evening full on screaming. Day three no problem. Day four, low level hiss after a couple of hours. It powers up fine, plays fine, until the dreaded noises begin. I can only assume that it's a power supply problem, but I really wouldn't know. I bought the amp brand new from Promenade Music in 2014. It's a 2013 Italian made model. It's done relatively little work as most of my gigs don't involve backline these days. It's been very well looked after and is in excellent condition apart from the inevitable zip rash caused by the Markbass bag I kept it in (not included). I have the original box and manual. £100 Collected from Colne, Lancs. Will post to UK only.
  2. Bought this here on BC a year ago, but have now gone down a space saving multi-effects route, so it's surplus to requirements. Lovely reverb, with the option to import numerous other effects via the free TC Toneprint app. It's a bit tatty on the surface, but works perfectly. Just looking to get my money back, which was £35 including UK postage.
  3. Selling my trusty K&M Omega keyboard stand. A German made, quality bit of kit, this has been used as studio furniture at home and has never been gigged. It has one or two surface marks but is in excellent condition. The Omega system allows for the addition of extra tiers, laptop and tablet holders, monitor speaker holders, mic boom arms etc. I'm offering the following items here: 18810 Keyboard table stand 18811 Stacker - a removable second tier 18819 Controller Tray - a metal tray which attaches to the stacker 18828 Basic Support - a bar which is fixed between the stacker arms when removed from the stand to create a two tier desktop stand. So it's a three-in-one system here - single keyboard stand, two tier keyboard stand, or two tier desktop stand. The first picture shows roughly what the stand looks like when folded up, although I haven't bolted it together in the pic. All relevant bolts are included. The last two pictures show what the stand looks like when set up, and the desktop stand with the support bar. Instruction sheets for all pieces are included. I'm not able to post, so it's collection from Colne, Lancashire. £140 I get about a lot gigging so do get in touch if you're interested but nowhere near. Arrival of baby ruins entire house layout and forces sale.
  4. Aidan bought a pj body from me. Super easy transaction and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks again!
  5. Here's a PJ body from bassparts.de, makers of BassLine basses in Germany. I listed this a few years ago and got flack from a couple of BC members, the first suggesting I was asking too much for a "no name" body (I was asking £90 at the time and provided info about the maker) and the other insisting it was a three piece body, when it's quite clearly two. So, let's try again. I bought this in 2013. It's alder, unfinished, two piece (see photo of bottom showing join down the middle), weighs 2.2kg and has a nice wooden cavity cover. Neck mounting holes have not been drilled. It was made by Bassline in Germany (https://bassline-bass.de/en/) and sold through their parts website (https://www.bassparts.de/). I paid 200 Euros for it, receipt pictured below. A bit pricey, but I was attracted by the unusual wonky stripe and the wooden cover. Alas, I never got around to doing anything with it. The first five photos are from my original listing, the next five I took today. The last one shows the makers photo. I've given it a very quick sand with a 180-grit pad just to clean it up as it's been sat around for a while and had picked up a couple of superficial marks. It would benefit from a proper sanding before finishing. £60 including UK postage.
  6. Wow! MTV used to show the Paris-Dakar? I guess I missed that. I was born the year MTV launched. I really like the idea of Remark You Made set to Paris-Dakar footage. Might have to make my own mock-up. 🤣
  7. @drTStingrayCome on, now. I haven't seen any evidence of "demonizing" or "focussing on negatives" in this thread. What are we supposed to do, just not talk about it? You're "dubious of viewing these matters as greatly important"? Christ! The poor bloke died at 35, in circumstances that were undoubtedly linked to drink and drug abuse, and state of mental health of course. I'd say that was important. Maybe I'm misunderstanding where you're coming from and if so, I'm sorry. But it feels like we're being told off for mentioning Jaco's problems. Don't get me wrong, I'm not being sanctimonious here and I don't look down on peoples lifestyle choices. I've been a musician all my working life and I've battled with the rock 'n roll lifestyle. It's not all good. It should be talked about. Me and @TheGreek having a little dig at his louche ways ain't gonna put a dint in his legacy. We all love him , I think. Anyway, come on chaps. Let's get back to the equine licking theme and have a bit of this....did my nut in the first time I heard it, courtesy of my dad's bonkers record collection........
  8. Indeed. Horrible stuff. Although I’ve no room to talk. I clearly have problems of my own to sort out.....according to the BC swearing filter, I lick donkeys.
  9. @Hellzero I don't want to get involved in any argument about Jaco. I completely understand what you're saying. Certainly, Percy Jones knocked my socks off the first time I heard him (Brand X - Nuclear Burn!) but I still think Jaco was unique and maybe deserves a bit of donkey licking. After all, it's not often us bass players get our asses licked! I'm so glad you mentioned Toots. He's my hero. I unashamedly lick his donkey as I present the following video which I think demonstrates that Jaco understood the mechanics of music very deeply, and with sensitivity, and fully deserved to be on stage with Belgiums greatest export - yes, even better than Leffe and even Chips
  10. Excellent stuff. I went to see Blixa Bargeld at the Preston Guildhall about 15-20 years ago in a solo performance, just him and a microphone. An interesting evening indeed. He had an ongoing spat with the soundman all night, whom he referred to as "Mephisto" At the time, I knew nothing about the Faustus legend and Mephisto or Mephitopheles, despite having a couple of Faust records in my stash, so thanks @Dad3353 for the memories and let's have......
  11. Matthew responded to my wanted ad and sold me his Markbass Mark Stand. He sold it to me for a very good price and it arrived promptly and packaged to withstand the coming of Armageddon. The very finest of Basschaters. Deal with confidence. Thanks again!!!!
  12. Super amp, super seller. I had one that was signed by Marcus Miller. I'm guessing it was one they had provided for him whilst on tour. This thing will power your EBS pedals too, folks. Absolutely great bit of kit. Good luck with the sale Pierre.
  13. Are you in Europe by any chance? I found Viktory covers to be good. They're in Slovenia. I ordered a cover from them (before Brexit) and I was very happy with. PS - you have to click on the material options on the right to get prices for the padding https://viktoryshop.com/product/fender-bassman-100-amp-amplifier-cover-by-viktory/

  15. Thanks again for the advice guys. On Tuesday I flicked it on again, still coming out of the jack output and within 10 minutes it began with the interference-style noises, so at least I can rule out the Speakon socket. My next step is to try the fx loop as you suggested, but I'd really like to do it while it's making the noise so I can see if there's an audible effect when I link the send and return sockets. Trouble is it stopped doing it before I could lay my hands on a cable. I've had it on for hours yesterday and today and it's been fine. Bloody thing!
  16. Selling my trusty Traveler 151p cab. It's an Italian made one which I bought new from Promenade Music in 2013 or 14. I had Roqsolid make a Powerbag for it rather than a cover, which has kept it in spectacular condition. There's only the slightest scuffing to the corner protectors and a tiny bit of stippling on the top from the velcro on the bottom of the Little Mark head bag. Makes a great pairing with the trv102p cab, although most often I've used it on it's own with great results. I'm also offering the Quiklok WS640 stand along with the cab. This has been one of the best amp related purchases I've ever made - lifting the cab a couple of feet off the ground makes a real difference on boomy stages. The legs on the stand swivel round to meet the corners of the cab so it looks real neat - I've just thrown it up in the pictures below. Last shot for glamour purposes only - the 102p and Multiamp have already gone. Selling as I'm downsizing to an MB combo. My rig has been a little overkill for the past few years, and with a baby on the way I have to vacate my beloved man-cave. Don't suppose anyone has a shed they want to trade for this? Second hand 151p's seem to going for £250 - 300. The bag cost me about £65 and the stand was £110, so I'm looking for £300 for the cab and the bag or £350 with the stand as well. Can't post at the moment as I'm short of packaging but that may change down the line. I'm due to collect my new combo next week so would like to keep hold of this until then, just in case anything goes belly up with the sale. Located near Colne, Lancashire. No trades thanks.
  17. @BassBunny thanks for the reply. By all means PM me the charges, I'd be interested to know. 3 hours later it's still fine coming out of the jack socket, although yesterday I had it on for at least two hours, probably more, coming out of the speakon and it was also fine. Having said that, it's always been difficult to get the speakon to lock in properly so maybe it IS a faulty socket. I've owned it from new and looked after it very well. I'm not bad at soldering, I reckon I could fit a new speakon socket myself. Now, which bits of the amp is it I'm not supposed to touch in order to not kill myself?? 😂
  18. Hi all, I'm having some problems with my Little Mark III. It's an Italian made one from 2013. I know the proper thing to do would be to send it off to that place in Sheffield that do the Markbass servicing, but I thought I'd call upon the collective genius of BC just to try to get an idea of what's going on. So here's what I know..... It's making hissing/crackling/popping noises. Left long enough, these develop into a loud, sustained, high-pitched scream. It's rather unpleasant. The problem is intermittent. I switched it on yesterday and left it on for a few hours and the problem did not arise. Today, I switched it on again and within 10 minutes, the noises began. The noise happens regardless of the position of the gain and master knobs, even both off - I don't think it's a dirty pot issue. It's definitely the amp, not the cab, as it's done it with two different cabs. It's not the power in my house. It's done it to me on a gig. A very posh hotel gig, in a room full of millionaires, halfway through The Girl From Ipanema. Very embarassing. As I mentioned above, it's at it again today. So I did the only thing I haven't yet tried - turned it off, disconnected the speakon to speakon cable, reconnected with a jack to speakon and turned it back on. It's been fine for the last half hour. Anyone had similar problems? I'm guessing if it's something on the main board then it's going to be an uneconomical repair. Is it destined for the bin?
  19. This amp must never have been used then, they don't have electricity in Lothersdale do they? 😂
  20. Luke bought my Korg stage piano. Another perfect transaction. Very nice to meet you. Thanks again.
  21. These are excellent. I begrudgingly sold mine to fund another purchase. Still get slight pangs of regret. This is a good deal. Those midi pedals cost a fair whack. Didn't know we had a basschatter in Skipton. Greetings from Colne. GLWTS.
  22. The sun is finally out, so of course you're going to need this brand new, boxed Natal caxixi (a basket shaker from the Afro-Brazilian tradition) as you Samba round the garden in your underpants. Tenner, posted.
