I scoffed when I heard the new of his running for president, then I rmembered that when I first heard of Obama I thought the US establishment would nbever let him be elected.
I don't think many, that;s true, but they don't need to be identical.
True but they'd look better! Trouble is to produce the stand commercially you'd need to cater for all depths of cabinet, not so vital with the bottom stand but you'd want the top stand nice and secure. Width would be less of an issue however as your spacer bars could be bespoke. Be good to see around the back of the stands too.

Yes, they should be quite easy to make with a Jig or Band Saw and some ply, but how big is the market for people who have two "identical" cabs, of which they want the bottom one at an angle?
-
Never seen them before but the one at the bottom looks very straightforward, actually so does the one in-between. Wondered if there were Micro 801's but they must be a CMD121 and a New York121? Is the top combo attached by anything or just resting on the shelf?
Reviving a zombie thread, but I installed these on my Squier project bass and was amazed...A pretty straightforward job - go slow and use plenty of masking tape, but what a difference! I used my Maplins own brand "Dremel" to drill out the neck and it worked a treat. Get one of those neat little torches to activate them, too. I got my kit from the Luminlay website and it came from Japan in about 5 days!
What was the total cost with taxes and postage please?

I thought "Crate" just made Combos?
DEKOS! Just popped up, including this left handed Jazz bass. Didn't someone want one of these to make a reverse headstock righty? http://www.thomann.d...ge_ser_deko.htm I can't remember what was up, and what wasn't. Was this progressive bass present? http://www.thomann.d...ressiv_deko.htm
The Prog has been up for much of the later part of this week -

Thomann selling Harley Benton basses as 'Decoration only'

Another Option could be a "Buying Guide" posted on eBay regarding Harley Benton items, or even an actual ad for a HB Bass , priced at a silly sum so it would not sell? Within the ad could be an explanation of what a Deco is, and how to spot it...... -

This guy in Newquay and I have history as I took him to task via eBay message around him allegedly selling HB's with the Logo removed around a year ago. I suggested he be more honest in his descriptions, at the time he was selling B Stock's and not disclosing the fact and sanding off the logo (this was before Decos). We traded a couple of messages regarding "German Engineered" too as I suggested they were actually Far Eastern engineered, he countered they were designed in Germany although unless one works in Thomann's Purchasing Dept, one could never know if Thomann actually designed them or just they get the manufacturer to submit some designs to a price point. At one point in our message exchange he lost his cool and I then had about 3 messages in my inbox timed 12.00 am,.2.00 am and 4.00 am with him accusing me of slander and threatening legal action! I countered I would report him to eBay and was going to delete any of his further emails unread at which point he quietened down. One could be tempted to take him to task again regarding these instruments but he has a very aggressive and robust manner and as others have said already, "Caveat Emptor". If the photos actually show the D stamp then I guess they are still "new other" but many will not read the full description of what that entails anyway. I guess a public spirited citizen could contact Thomann and point out a certain buyer from Newquay is re-selling Decos as "New Other" on eBay, whether they would be bothered is debatable...? -
If a range of bum gripper guitar stands were made, could the Hercules mechanical lever action be utilised to clench the cheeks as your bass neck nuzzled in there?
Could a line be done with detachable legs...?

So where would Placebo fit into their research?
You'd need to pull the bridge saddle out and shim it.
Would that not affect the Piezo underneath? -
Conversation with Rocco Prestia & Chuck Rainey

I saw The Crusaders at Newcastle City Hall in the early seventies but feel sure it was Pops Popwell on Bass then and not Chuck Rainey, with Larry Carlton on Guitar. -
My deko acoustic bass is here and seems totally fine apart from fret buzz up around the 12th to 14th frets on the D and G strings. I've tried adjusting the truss rod in both directions but it isn't helping - any advice here? Not sure how to adjust the bridge?
Don't think you can adjust the bridge on an acoustic as it is all fixed.
