1. Picked up this lovely bass recently in a trade from HappJack, don't really want to sell but the original idea was to sell a bass to make some cash. It has a fairly unpleasant ding, like a scrape, about a 5p size on the bottom horn and a small shallow chip on the back of the neck around the fourth fret but is basically in good shape. Also there is a filled pot by the controls which nobody seems to know was/is for. Nice light weight, not more than 9lbs I guess and plays/sounds great. As to its age I'm not entirely sure, Jack thought it was a '74/'75 but the neck stamp appears to be '76 ? Personally I am not too bothered because it's a mid seventies P Bass and it does all the things it should, I know some others will care deeply but I'm no expert here. It has a proper Fender case and the silverware for the bridge/pi Here's some pics. Thanks.
2. Thanks very much, it's not urgent I just thought he had a nice tone and wanted to check it out.
3. Well I like it !!!!! I downloaded it online so can't find the bassist's name on the album cover?
4. I am really enjoying the new Corinne Bailey Rae album. After seeing her on Jools last week I downloaded it. At the moment I am well into 'Paris Nights New York Mornings' - I just love the way the bass sounds and it's a real fun line to play IMO. Does anyone know who the bassplayer is? I think he was playing an Ibanez bass? Looked nice.
5. It's all best out in the open.........just ask David Laws. BTW I wish my thread had bumped like this when the bl**dy thing was for sale!!!
bl**dy thing
No reflection on the bass......
