I'm sad to be selling my Phil Jones Briefcase 100w Amplifier. This amp sounds absolutely amazing but I need to get an amp I can use for both loud functions and quiet jazz gigs when I'm home from touring so sadly it has to go! The amp features two 5" Speakers, DI out, switchable Compressor, 5 band Graphic EQ, Active/Passive switch, headphone out and is able to run off a battery (included with the amp) This amp sounds great with electric bass as well as upright bass. I have had many compliments on my sound using both electric and EUB with this amp. The amp is in very good condition, and has mainly been used for jazz functions and occasional low volume rehearsals/writing sessions. The battery charge lasts about and hour before it starts to run out of juice. It charges whilst you are connected to the mains. There is a slight scratch to the right of the graphic EQ on the front panel but is very small and not very noticeable and does not effect the amp at all. It comes with the manual and I think I might have the box for it some where! I would like to get £350 for the combo

I have a warmouth self build that I did and finished myself with the help of my dad a year and a half ago and whilst it is pretty good... it's not quite as amazing as I would have liked and I would like to actually start using this bass live as it has top quality parts... So any one got any recomendations... could prob maybe do with the electronics sorting and a set up too!

I've recently changed my rig to the Orange 8x10 and have no need or space really for these beastly cabs!! The come with silverstone leather amp covers. These cabs were bought in 2008 direct from Orange and have been toured with solidly for the past two years with my and attack! attack! and used in the studio so there is good wear and tear on them the cabs are in still excellent working order and sound great. I only upgraded to the 8x10 becuase I prefer the sound of sealed cabs, and it's easier to get one big cab into a venue than two smaller ones... in theory anyway! I've attached a picture of the cabs as part of my rig, will get better more detailed photos when I'm next down the studio. Looking for £750/700 for both cabs together

Don't think about coming to shows, just come lol! TBH at the show I only run my bass through sansamp di for foh.. so you'll probably only hear that unless you stand at the front! PROS - 2 seperate cabs are easier to get in your and carry, expecially if you need only the one. I've never used two 4x10s so I can't comment... with the 4x10 and 1x15 I found it gave me a washy kinda tone and not very focused. There would be this harsh high end flying around from the 4x10 with the horn and then this kinda 'flappy' loose bass coming from the 1x15. I was after a tight articulate sound that wasn't too harsh on the high end which is what im pleasef to say im getting with the 8x10... it's great for distortion and driving tube amps. I have spoken to sound guys in the past that thought the 4x10 and 1x15 cab mix was odd becuase your sending the same eq from the preamp to two different cabs with different speaker combinations... not sure how much truth is in that but I can understand the theory. hope that helps in some way or other.
I'm thinking about purchasing some orange cabs too. I'm currently running an ampeg SVT trough a Ashdown Mag. The only point of doubt I have at the moment is concering what cabs I should choose. There are two combinations possible. First of all 2 4 x 10 cabinets, and the second possibility is a 4x10 combined with a 1x15. I've tried both setups, but am stuck when it comes to choosing. Any pro's and cons to both combinations are more than welcome! P.S: That is one insane setup you've got there!

Seems a bit ott to me Ha coming from the man who owns pretty much every amp under the sun!! Yeah I wish I had roadies to carry stuff too but somebody has got to counteract this lightweight bass amp trend... I can remember when bass players used to be cool:P

Do it! What project/band was this supplied for then?
haha. maybe if i get time for some lolz. Me and my guitarist endorse Orange amongst other things. we're in a band called attack! attack! (uk) Just need to flightcase it up and then it's off for a 50 plus date tour of uk and europe!
Mate, I think orange cabs are simply the best sounding, so an 810 wow, just don't stand to close
Still got the 4x10 and 1x15, the 8x10 destroys them in terms of tone and balance - should really run them all at the same time really before I sell them... got to love endorsement deals lol
thats beautiful id love to have that cab looks like a beast
surprisingly light too between two people...

It sounds awesome. Tight and punchy and with great definition of notes. Works well with the grindy tone of the ad200b, the tone doesn't get too harsh when you dig in! I love it
-
The AD200B will do warm and clean no problems... I use it in a 4 piece rock band playing venues from 400 - 3000 people. I find the amps starts to break up at 12 o'clock on the gain with the volume at 9 o'clock... i've found if you back the gain down quite a bit and turn up the master volume you get a nice tubey clean sound without clipping the preamp tubes. hope that is of some help.

Orange 4x10 and 1x15 possibly for sale

Potentially selling my Orange 4X10 AND 1X15 with fitting silverstone soft padded covers I'm going to be straight up, these cabs are two years old and have been toured solidly for those two years with my band. So even with the soft covers they have endured some cosmetic damage with being loaded up and off stage, flight cases put on top, put into bus trailers etc - the usual rips in tolex and scrapes. They however work perfectly well and sound great. I'm not sure if I'm definetely going to sell them yet as I might keep them for really big shows, or may sell just the 4x10 and keep the 1x15 for small gigs around town. Basically I want to see what interest there is in these cabs I'm not sure what to suggest as a price maybe £450 for the 4x10 with padded cover and £250 for the 1x15 with padded cover or maybe work out a deal with both. The 4x10 seems to be 675 new and the 1x15 i've seen for just shy of 500 I can get pics so you can see the condition of the cabs as soon as i locate a camera
Congratulations! Do you guys ever get confused for the other band, of Stick Stickly fame?
Haha yeah sometimes... it's kinda a pain in the arse but mostly people are now getting their heads around their are two completely different bands with a similar name! We've had some funny moments of their fans coming to our shows buying our merch and then realising it's the wrong band etc
