Thinking about selling this. It's a great sounding preamp and boost pedal with a very effective musical 2 band eq amongst other features. The low end you can get is killer. It has two, two way switches. One that gives you the option of a more solid state scooped amp tone or a vintage tube tone and another switch that gives you a hi end boost. I just don't use it enough and it's too good a pedal to only use occasionally infact I hate seeing it sit on my worktop not being used.It works great with the B3K Darkglass which is a huge part of my sound but I tend to use the B3K with my sansamp for FOH sound and any more eq when it's needed and my amp is an Orange AD200B which get dirty all by itself with no need of a booster to drive it. Ideal for solid state amps for a bit more warmth or driving tube amps that don't break up without huge volumes or just if you want a bit more eq on hand. I think these go for around £230? new - looking for £150 plus p&p - comes with the nifty box PM me if interested and will do my best to get back to you asap.

Hi, Yes I do want to sell this pedal. I can remember receiving your messages. Unfortunately I was very busy that weekend and was unable to respond straight away as I was in a studio recording a band. Actually I did attempt to reply quickly on my mobile but the 3G signal was so weak that it obviously didn't get through to you. You seemed unsure you could commit to buying the pedal until you knew it would fit on your pedal board and also said you wouldn't have had the money until Monday either - so I felt there was no Immediate rush to respond and would get my work out of the way first. I then received another message on Sunday saying that you didn't want the pedal after all, so I felt there was no need to reply to the message. I have happily dealt with people both buying and selling gear on basschat and have never had a problem. It's a great forum. I don't however expect people to reply immediately to my messages and appreciate that people have lives and jobs and if I don't get a response for a day or two then I assume they are busy! I'm sorry that I hadn't replied sooner but I was extremely busy, and if you had not sent a message saying you no longer wanted the pedal I would have most likely replied on the monday morning tos sort the sale out. I've copy and pasted the messages that were sent so people can see the time frame we are talking about that I hadn't responded in - just over a day. <p>

Members
126 posts

Gender:Male
Location:London
Sent 10 November 2012 - 02:10 AM Hi mate, So I'd like to take your valve drive please I'm selling my sansamp prog bddi deluxe to fund it and a London music store has offered me £120 for it. So I plan on going there on Monday morning and selling it to them if it hasn't gone from here over the weekend with a price drop. So I should have the money into your account by Monday. All good? Selling my EBS Bass Wah-1. Probably one of the best wahs you can get on bass. Features tube sim, pedal reverse, Hi-Q and Low Pass options with a range control and also can be used as a volume pedal. This thing can go from super hi to super low and with the tube sim engage gives a really nice gritty texture to your tone without being distorted. The pedal has been on my board for a few years but is in good condition and works perfectly well. There is slight movement from side to side on the pedal and it appears a screw has come out where it fixes the foot pedal into place - I'm pretty sure this can be fixed by a screw of the correct size and doesn't effect the pedals functionabilty or sound. This pedals has done 100s of shows and travelled in bus trailers and aeroplanes all over europe since I've owned it. Comes with Box and manuals etc.. Looking for £90 plus p&p

Having a clear out so selling my Aguilar Tone Hammer Preamp/DI pedal in excellent condition with box and manual. Great sounding DI and EQ - really clean and articulate and the AGS can add a nice warmth to your tone making it sit in the mix well. Reason for selling is that I don't use it as much as it deserves and I have like always gone full circle and ended up back at the sansamp bass driver for my FOH sound. Looking for £125 plus postage

Selling my EBS Valve Drive Preamp/Overdrive pedal w/box, manual and accesories. It does not include the european adapter. Great sounding as a preamp infront of your amp or as a gnarly distortion pedal which is what I mainly used it for and became a large part of my sound. The pedal has been toured and used but has been kept in good condition and maintained. In the pictures you can see that there is some paint bubbling on the pedal which I'm not sure how this started but it doesn't effect the pedal in any at all. I can't find the european power supply it came with but I think the cable became damaged and I ended running it off a Trex Fuel Tank. £120 plus postage

Selling my Digidesign Mbox 2 with Pro Tools 8 Software as I am now getting more an more involved in production and no longer need it as I have upgraded to something else Great tool for songwriters and people interested in getting into recording and has some great virtual instruments and plugins included! Included is the Mbox 2, USB cable, Pro Tools 8 Software, Audio Loops CD and Training CD along with manual and start up guides and accesories. I'm unsure if I ever registered this copy of Pro Tools but I can also include a CD with the last supported update for PT 8 which was 8.0.5. Looking for £80 plus p&p which I guess will be around the £10 mark due to the size of the box.

Is this the Kosher that Mo from Mo's music shop played in? I remember the name and bought a bunch of Hartke stuff from him 12 years ago! Was such a good shop!
When I played for Kosher 12yrs ago both myself and the guitar player were sponsored by guitar and amp manufacturers. The deal I had with Warwick was very simple. It was a basic artist sponsorship deal whereby I had a discount on their basses and all I had to do in return was to give to mention them in credit in any PR literature, wear their merch clothing and be seen using their basses. It was not an endorsement deal and I still had to buy their basses at trade price. But, it was a great help back then as my puny advance didn't stretch very far. I was disappointed when Warwick pulled he plug on me after a distribution restructure in the UK and I was then deemed not to be a big enough name to carry the brand. The deal I had with Carlsbro was very different. Our guitar player helped to design and develop the NuTone guitar amps and was their main endorsee. The guys at Carlsbro really liked what we were doing and asked me to become an endorsee too. Both Mike and I agreed to an exclusive endorsee deal which is very different to a sponsorship deal. Our amps were provided to us FOC, but in return our responsibilities were a bit more intensive. We had to perform demos and workshops and trade shows, take part in PR duties for the brand, help out with R&D and of course use the brand at any given opportunity. I gues you could say that we were static sales reps for Carlsbro. We developed a very good relationship with both the management team and the guys at the factory and it all worked out very well. I will always be great full for the support that Andy Bishop and his team gave us. The legalities between what are sponsorship or endorsee deals are very different. With a sponsorship deal the artist is treated as a customer and retail law is applied. An endorsee deal is different if the artist has their gear provided FOC or actually receiving an income from the company along with any contractual obligations agreed. If so, then corporate law is applied. If a product is sold to the artist as a part of a sponsorship deal, no matter how much of a discount has been given to that person they are still a customer and they have no legal commitment to that brand as a consumer. No matter what has been agreed in black and white it is still very much a gentlemans agreement. It's very much a case of scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. The level of where that takes the company and artist is completely down to them. In any situation the deal should still be treated with respect between both parties purely on moral grounds. Endorsement deals are very different as they are often a bigger financial commitment by the company and you have more responsibilities as an artist to uphold your contractual agreement. As I said before during my experience with Carlsbro, Mike and I were very much like static sales reps and we had to uphold commitments in our contracts to keep the deal. If we didn't, Carlsbro were legally entitled to return the kit they provided to us as it was their form of payment to us. It wasn't our intention to take the mick with them as we would have been left high and dry without any backline. Musician endorsements don't really work the same way as a sports person endorsement as they usually get payments to use their brand. That is a completely different realm as far as corporate law is concerned. I know of not one musician who recieves a monetary income from a manufacturer, unless they are actually an employee of that company. So, court action rarely happens between an artist and brand. But, in any instance of a grievience the company has more clout than the artist. I fully understand and appreciate where Tom is coming from. Even though Brubaker is a highly respected brand in the bass playing world they are a small company and brand recognition is a very important. Artist sponsorships are a huge part of that when it comes to exposure. A lot of trust is given to the artist to ensure that they adhere to the terms that has been agreed. Remember, it costs the company to sponsor you...they are not doing it just for fun. These guys are as every bit as passionate about what they do as what you do and they only want the best for their customers and artists. They support you as they feel that you equally represent their passions and help the profile of the brand. Respect the priviliidge that they have given to you and don't abuse their trust. If you want sponsorships to boost your ego or feel that because you think are so awesome the world owes you a living then you don't deserve the support. Don't let it get you down Tom. There are plenty of other players out there that would be proud to be a part of your brand and wear the badge with pride.
