My guy! I'm definitely still considering the p16m but that might be an future upgrade once I get the system up and running. One question though on daisy chaining. Presumably I can just run 1 cat5 from the xr18 into the first p16m and then 'thru' to the next and so on and they can have their own dedicated mix?
P16m work brilliantly and we all use them. There's a newer updated version being released in January...

I've got the A4s. I demoed them v UE6's and UE11's before buying. Fit and sound quality are both excellent as you would expect. They have plenty of bottom end headroom but the low end is certainly not overpowering. The learning curve for me has been to lower the volume of my backline and apply a high pass filter to my bass in my IEM's. I'm happy with the results so far but feel that I can improve the sound of my bass in my IEM's with a little more experimenting, rather than any issue with the A4s.
I'm interested to know what you think about the UE6 vs UE11.
I have the UE6 and will need to change someday.

i haven't tried the JH11 but it may be worth considering the 64 Audio A4s. I found them to have better definition/clarity than the UE6 and they are cheaper than the JH11 with a similar driver spec.
Thank you I'll check them out!

Ultimate Ears UE6 vs Jerry Harvey JH11?
Has anyone happened to have compared or owned both of these? I'm just wondering if the hefty price tag on the JH11s are worth the extra £££

I second this. It's also a lot easier to manage. I had a 24-way 25m one, and coililng it back into it's box after a gig was like wrestling a python with a stiffie.
Don't forget you'll need some in the other direction for monitor feeds back to the stage.
OK thanks I'll get a quote on the drum.
Yes the one we're looking at has 4 ins for monitors and sub 👍🏻

What do you mean? Do you need the XR18 somewhere else?
Yes so the XR18 is currently at the back of the stage by the drums in a rack.
We're wanting a stage snake to run from the XR18 to front stage to tidy up up all the XLRs (there are currently about 9)

Perhaps think about making a switch to a digital mixer and doing either CAT ethernet cable to FOH or even wifi to a tablet etc. There are lots of reasonably priced options about now from Soundcraft, A & H, etc... they have the added advantages of each band member being able to manage their own monitor mix and lots of oboard eq, effects, compression etc.
Snakes are big and heavy
Unfortunately our Behringer XR18 isn't capable to extend with CAT5.
I'll probably go with this Lynx box. It has the exact ins/outs we need and is good quality. They offer it on a drum but it's quite a bit more expensive.

I've had my custom UE6's for almost a few years. When the time comes to order new ones (once the fit becomes loose) it seems there two options...
1. Send back to UE for a service and basic adjustment (£350 and they do not offer reshell)
2. Order a completely new set
Just interested in what others have done in the instance once they stop fitting 😊

That looks very similar to the ones I bought directly from Van Damme (I'm sure it was the same Cat5 cable). They were fine for about 6 months use, and then become less and less able to coil neatly before finally failing. Are yours still properly coilable?
Yup they're solid. I always coil them properly after use and they've been good got years.

For those of you using Ultranet, where are you getting your gig-proof properly coilable Cat5 cables from?
In the days when I was running a BassPod and Floorboard which are connected by Cat5 I was getting through a cable every other month. I ended up buying a couple of very expensive Van Damme Cat5 leads which were a lot more robust, but even they were never as easy to coil up as a standard mic lead and eventually after a couple of years these failed as well.
I've had this one a few years. Extremely high quality. Infact most of my cables are from Designacable

You had a chance to try this yet? I'm very close to pulling the trigger to use with my IEM!

Anyone else get a different mix in their ears every gig? We never change the desk settings much but always seems to vary. I've put it down to how are ears are on the day 🤪

isn't it easier to use, er, normal amps and cabs and not switch them on?
We run silent stages so don't own any amps. Normal ones are fine but the rental companies are too far away.

Marshall... might have sections of the fake wall for hire... from the looks they are about 6" thick but full height stacks!
Tried Marshall but they won't hire to me unfortunately

Does anyone know where I can rent dummy guitar/bass amps for a music video?
Based in Milton Keynes and video shoot is in Uxbridge.

'MI-58TD which works in the the same way as the MI-58T but with the additional ‘D’ meaning that the transmitter can output of the Dante network audio protocol'
Just wondering if its worth the extra for the MI-58TD

I own 2 x J5s from Overwater. Both 35 scale's and an absolute dream to play.
