  1. Mickey, I'll apologise publicly here, in addition to the one I've just PMd you too. Sorry for this oversight.
  2. My difficulty with these two is. the singlecut is a one of one that was built by a very respected builder. This chance will never come again. The other bass was bought for the biggest gigging year of my life. A year like that won’t come around again and this is the bass in all the photos. Ok, decision made. They’re going nowhere, I need to use them more.
  3. Shhhh…. Don't tell everyone about the USA SUBs… 😎
  4. These two are deep into coffee table territory.
  5. How long do you let them hang about before you eventually cut them loose ? I know such talk might be heresy, but these two beauties haven’t got the nod since I stumbled on an old USA Musicman SUB 5 string.
  6. Hopefully, they'll find this 🙂
  7. 41 year old Ibanez RB924 CS (Cherry Sunburst) From my favourite era of Ibanez shapes, this has tow passive pickups, master volume, pan, passive tone and three way switch which I seem to recall does parallel / series and some other option. It makes a difference !! Pickups look like soap bars, but are double J and P when you look at the pole pieces. The sound confirms this. Super skinny neck which is very easy to play. Condition is very decent for the age, it's not pristine, but marks are confined to the rear. For sale as something else has drawn my eye. Will ship anywhere in the UK and happy to work out your choice of shipping service. More photos to follow shortly as soon as my drive behaves.
  8. The whole band are excellent.
  9. What a great player and his Overwater is sounding fantastic here.
  10. Your black one is the double of mine. I'll maybe need to sell my 4 string and buy this off you as a perfect spare.
  11. A great price for a USA Musicman. I have two of these ( a 4 and a 5 ) and they're fantastic.
  12. I'll definitely be keeping these two original. I'd want them to be as they left the factory, including the ugly logo.
  13. I don't disagree, but I won't be changing it. It is what it is and I'll keep it pretty much original.
  14. I guess this means I know a good thing when I see it. Here with its 4 string brother.
  15. Didn't plan on buying one of these this weekend, but I'm a real fan of these 2003-2006 SUBs. Sports Utility Bass ? Stingray's Ugly Brother ? It certainly has 'that' tone. Next weekend, I won't plan on buying a Highway One Precision in 3TSB.

  17. Yep, The headstock upgrade was done exactly as they do all such instruments having left the factory painted black. Toby applied stain for the laminate effet.
  18. That's my old bass, I got Toby to do the refinish and the veneer headstock finish. That and the purpleburst finish. Between original purchase price and refinish it owed my £1k and I sold it for £1,400.
  19. Each of them for a price somewhere a Squier and a Mex. Not a difficult one to get past the steering committee.
  20. The funny thing is, this Jazz is no shrinking violet. It wants to be heard and has quite an in your face voice. Quite unlike other Jazz basses I've had. The neck is easier than the SUB, which has a slightly chunkier neck, but also has a 'listen to me' voice too. Both great in their own way.
  21. There may be one or two others, but a 2x NBD declaration, I know. The world's gone mad !
