1.
Yeah but my Marshall 412 (now on ebay) is only £200 *ducks and leaves*
Yea, and a reasonable, well priced alternative but no comparison to these I'm afraid. GAS'ing for the VBA on there at the moment but wouldn't need the matching cab.

Phaser fun

Hi, I'm after a phaser that doesn't affect the low end (maybe only working over 150hz or so) and that isn't too pricey. How is the MXR Phase 90 and 100? My dad has an endorsement with MXR so I can get them cheap if they are suitable. Any suggestions?

ampeg

Should also mention the bass player in a band I did the sound for last week had one of the 80's solid state versions. Didn't look or sound quite as cool but still sounded really good. He said he only paid £300 for it used too.

ampeg

They have an old one in the studio I record in. Have used it a few times but I usually end up using it through my cab as I always manage to make the Ampeg one bottom out with my pedalboard. Sounds fantastic when used properly, wouldn't gig with it though.
5. Would you consider trades for this: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=2238
6. I have one of these and it's the best investment I ever made. Fantastic cab. 1200w @ 4ohms. Truly awesome. That is all.
7. Interested in this? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=2238
8. Whe you say it comes with a set of valves except one, do you mean in addition to the set in the amp? What tubes are they?
9. Interested in a Sun 1200s with full flight case and DTR1000 at all? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=2238

11. Would probably be Ampeg (SVT-VR + Dan Armstrong reissue) or Ernie Ball for me.

13. The Boss GEB7 is pretty good. I have the EQ20 though and am not a big fan as it doesn't seem to like the 18v circuit on my bass and can clip when I play hard. It's great for the programability and flexibility though. I use a Rocktek Bass Eq now in my distortion channel to add low end and it works fine. Think it was only about £20 quid used too.
14. PM'ed re this stuff: 4x cheapo right angle 2 pole jacks (the type that you screw down the cover) 3x Cheapo right angle 3 pole jacks (ditto) 1.5m Klotz La Grange instrument cable (no connectors)
15. Awesome. Would you sell the head on it's own? And would you consider trades?
16. Interesting listings. "Can Plug Each Side in Different Amp Or Can Plug Into Two Different Amp's Its Up To You!!" Nice.
17. Awesome. Lovely basses and one of my biggest GAS sore points. Gutted I'm broke.
18.
Yeah it's sold
Balls. Was borrowing one off a mate for ages and he's just taken it back. Now I have a massive FZ-2 shaped hole in my board and that was a good price. Let me know if (when ) you decide to sell Tayste.
19. I used to really dislike them but having used a few recently with vintage SVT's (provided backline at some festivals I did over the summer) I am converted. So many of my favourite bass sounds came from one. Although I'm not sure how much of it was down to the SVT or the cab. I had the pleasure of using a 70's SVT with my usual cab (an Aguilar GS412) as seen in my avatar and that was easily the best tone I've ever had though.
