    For sale, used but not abused wireless system. Simple to use, if a bit fiddly to charge. (USB lead provided). Four different channel choices. Disclaimer: It has never retained charge for the four hours the leaflet claims, but is okay for more like half that. (Light blinks to warn you its running out). So would be ideal for someone trying out wireless rather than a Grateful Dead tribute… Easy to move on if you upgrade. £30 posted

    I run a blues jam, so we tend to get variations on 12 bars. At least the ‘blues’ label discourages open-mic people - that’s a totally different kettle of fish. As Jack says, the vocalists call the shots, so pal up with one or try yourself. It’s non competitive and friendly, at least ours is, and we welcome new faces. Good luck…

    Thanks. I think he is probably the biggest single musical hero of mine…those 70s albums were absolute perfection (apart from ‘…Plants’).

    Trouble with these mags i find is they don’t want to offend advertisers. Hence gear reviews are meaningless. I did an amp review for Guitar and Bass (now also online only) and had my star rating for Blackstar combos ‘enhanced’. At £100 a review I decided it wasn’t worth the hassle.

    I slammed my index in a car door pre-gig four years ago. I somehow played the set without it, using a tumbler of ice between songs. It’s amazing what the brain can do. And the feeling has never returned fully…
