  1. At least it stops stuff like the sad fiasco over James Browns estate. 😎
  2. (puts on tin hat) Music, at the end of the day, is a product. Dylan has lived very well off his version of that product for many years. He's astute enough to know that the zillion dollar sales are over and at 79 probably does not fancy the work that touring involves. He has children (several) and he's not getting any younger - this large amount of money merely stops any arguments (& represents a lump sum royalty?) The estate and it's survivors will benefit - what's not to like? 😎
  3. Media is full of the 'jabs start on Wednesday' stuff - Nowhere seems to have any detail (including my Health Centre website) Is is all a state secret ? Does the vaccine really exist ? Updates coming to an internet forum near you - (hopefully) (perhaps) 😎
  4. And now, just when you think the Govertnmint couldn't scrape much more out of the bluddy barrel, non - quarantine is legally available if you can afford it - ]https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55162318
  5. ^ ^ ^ The BBC can't simply claim 'not us Guv' when stuff is being done in the name of the Corporation ? 😎
  6. Umm 'Benefit in Kind' perhaps ? (just musing for a friend) 😎
  7. My Bad -Colour Television: 50 Years On. On 1 July 1967, BBC Two officially became the first channel in Europe to transmit in colour. The debut colour programme was an outside broadcast of Wimbledon, featuring the Men's Singles match between Cliff Drysdale and Roger Taylor.
  8. Nothing about the BEEB surprises me - this is the mob that started colour tv with The Black & white Minstrel Show and steadfastly ignored black music all the way through the 70's. It's only the fact that they are our 'official' broadcasting company that keeps the licence fee existing. It's just another form of bluddy taxation, imo 😎
  9. Agreed, but sometimes pubs are their own worst enemy - one of many similar incidents - https://www.devonlive.com/news/devon-news/rise-devons-covid-hotspot-linked-4694233
  10. So continuing a theme here - apparently if you order a substantial meal (ie scotch egg) and don't eat it, you can booze all night? (asking for a friend) 😎
  11. Ah, thanks for that - the rumour mill is still not in lockdown then ......... Trump has a very vivid imagination. 😎
  12. ok, help me out - what has Trump (I guess that's who you mean?) to do with the NHS? 😎
  13. A lot is going to hinge on how many will actually want to get vaccinated and how much of a farce the logistics turn in to. Going by the problems so far, I'm not hopeful. 😎
  14. I think it was fairly normal for the idiot of the family to get shoe-horned into politics or the church. 😎
  15. Reports rarely see the light of day - usually 'financially difficult' or the end of someone's gravy train ........never hold your breath 😎
  16. .............. shouldn't be - it muddies the waters .......... (ONS are good at doing that) 😎
  17. I can see us all being issued with little plastic cards saying we've been vaccinated and giving personal I D refs (!) otherwise how would you know that a potential contact 'should' be safe? 😎
  18. Sky News - if the deputy chief medical officer reckons it's safe enough for his 78-year-old mum, that's a pretty good sign of confidence in the process. 😎 (I'm reminded of John Selwyn Gummer shoving a hamburger at his daughter)
