  1. I'm guessing these are not a 'video' session, so I would have thought that any facility with a betamax player could simply take the sound output and convert to digital? 😎
  2. In my experience, unless the venue has a dedicated pa sound tech and only they touch any of it, you can very quickly be in the same situation as many rehearsal spaces, where the kit simply gets abused and uncared for. 😎
  3. -Got this one for bass drivers (KT 120 outputs) and one of these for mid/top Now all I need is a road crew and forklift........... 😎
  4. No-one seems to have mentioned Crown XLS ? I used one for reggae dub and it was (imo) fine.......... 😎
  5. 54 46 was an anthem in its own right ........... so sad, RIP big man. πŸ˜•
  6. The Denmark Street Living Museum ? I can remember Tiles in Oxford Street, shops and bands in the same underground venue........The non-original Cavern seems to work, the whole idea sounds very over-the=top, I hope it happens. 😎
  7. Our deputy head boy was screwing the music mistress - does that count? 😎

  9. Is he still doing Thomas The Tank? - He could join the model railway thread - 😎
  10. If 'we're' going to play trains, do we get a station at Richings Park? 😎
  11. Last time I saw Rod perform was on tv with Tom Jones (long time ago) both were sat down and croaking in unison (Rod got his glasses out to read his lyrics...............) 😎
  12. Talking loud and saying nothing? I worked the same gigs as EC on several occasions, mainly with John Mayall and also with Cream. On the Mayall front, the slant was very 'let's nick something from Mose Alison' which everyone was doing at that time (Tony Knights Chessmen anyone?/ G. Fame etc etc) Cream were very loud and too prog for my taste but again, there was a lot of it about? (I worked with Chris Squire - always thought he was more fun pre Mable Greer) What he's done since the dawn of rock, I neither know nor care. I have a copy of the CD with BB King, which gets the odd airing (as does my Mose Alison cd). I always enjoyed working with EC in the early days, he was a nice guy and good musician. ........... End of?
  13. Had a few of these over the years (as you do) - The result is always the same .............. 😎
  14. Emperors new clothes time? A lot of money to buy trackspace on an album that may or may not sell/produce any return......... I'll stick to premium bonds. 😎
  15. Back in the stone age, Jack Jackson (remember him?) used to record his inserts on a Nagra in Corfu, where he was resident (I think) and air mail the tape back to the Maple Cross studio where his sons would add the music ready for the weekend BBC radio broadcast............... 😎
  16. Nothing new - I was written off by some idiot kid on Exmoor in 2005, it took a lot of effort to get plod to even give it an incident number............ 😎
  17. I'd cut their hands off - at the neck ............ 😎
  18. In passing, talking of closed venues - does this ring any bells?
  19. This does not bode well ............. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-53428307 πŸ˜₯
  20. Any relation to the late Lee Dorsey? 😎
  21. I wonder how many have got sheets of 'M Mouse' and 'A Capone' ? 😎
  22. Thanks Ped, sent a screenshot in yesterday, nice to know it's not my machine. 😎
  23. If this is for 'the arts' - the usual suspects will get the lions share. This, as impressive as it sounds, won't even scratch the surface. 😎
