  1. Best - Sansamp Programmable Bass Driver. 3 variants of essentially the same sound (Basic, Crunch, Drive). Bombproof construction and a DI out. Worst - Green Russian fuzz. Nothing wrong with the pedal but way too gnarly for anything I need. Pointless 'boredom' purchase.
  2. There are some decent synth options on the Zoom B3 which are pretty cheap these days. Of course, you get a whole lot more other stuff with one of these and lots of it is really good (in my opinion). You'd probably get the same stuff on the MS60B as well which is the size of a standard pedal.
  3. I've been using a T Rex Chameleon for years and it's been faultless.

Always looks mighty precarious to me. Would be frightened to breathe on it!
  5. Never thought of that. I've got one of them but always assumed it was just full octave up or down shifts.
  6. I'm looking for something that does a decent job of drop tuning. I'd ideally like a Digitech Drop but can't find one. I'm currently making do with a pitch shift patch on a Zoom B3 but it creates a kind of chorus/reverb like effect. Any suggestions folks?
  7. This is going back a few years, but from what I can remember the Green Rhino maintained the low end very well and was a good all round pedal for what I wanted.
  8. Gigged my WT800 last night and what an absolutely awesome sounding amp these are. Creamy smooth with a kick like a mule. Proper pieces of kit that must be becoming scarce now. Have a bump.

  10. And the fact that they're happy to meet up once in a while and muck about a bit explains why there is such a lax attitude to getting stuff tight and accurate. In my experience, learning to play stuff is pretty straightforward but learning to play it accurately and tight can be bloody hard work. Seems they can't be bothered.
  11. I assume he was using the word 'girly' to denote the higher pitch of the guitar as opposed to the lower pitch of the bass. I didn't get any inference of it being inferior in any way. Maybe I'm not trying hard enough to be offended.
  12. So you're saying that size matters. I'm so offended by this that I'll now have to lie in a darkened room for several months (on full pay naturally), until I hopefully get over it. Otherwise I'll have to try to live with it for the rest of my life. Am I being over sensitive?
  13. Years (many) ago, I played in a band with a keyboard player who outstayed his welcome. He got sacked. On the bands social media page there was a 'history of the band' section that detailed all of the comings and goings. When it came to that episode it read 'X (no names mentioned) left the band for musical differences. We were musical and he was different'. Still makes me smile 20 years later.
