I use one too for smaller gigs. You can also put it up on a chair for better monitoring purposes and use the XLR to run a bit through the front of house if it's struggling for volume. Not been a problem for me yet though.

Eden WT800 into TechSoundsystems 2x12. Tokai Hardpuncher bass. Effects are a Zoom B1Four for a bit of compression, tuner and stuff, a Sansamp programmable for 3x sounds (basic, crunch and drive) and a Zvex Basstortion with a MicroThumpinator. Sounds awesome though I say so myself. -
