1.
Stupid question but how bright are these?
Not so stupid, LEDs seem to vary quite a lot. I mostly used this to throw some colour around the room in pub gigs. It's fine for that, definitely a noticeable display without blinding anyone. The last picture was taken in a darkened room, projected on the wall from a couple of feet away. In a larger, semi lit space it's less intense.
 2. I was h
Would you consider selling the C3X on its own, plus courier delivery?
I was hoping to shift it all as one package, but I suppose that could be difficult. I factored the C3X in at £110 - how does that sound? PM me if you want to discuss.
 3. Oh, well .... in the interests of science I ordered a set.
 4. This is sold pending completion. This Audix OM7 vocal mic is one I bought to see if it would help with problems one of our singers was having. As it happens it wasn't the answer at all and so it had very little use. It's a nice mic, but it has low output. You can see an explanation on the Audix website, but basically it needs a powerful voice and a PA with plenty of headroom. It's in good condition apart from a couple of scratches (last two pics). It comes with the box, bag and mic stand attachment. Yours for £95, which includes UK tracked postage.
 5. All sold now. This is a highly portable mixing setup that could be used for a band or disco. It consists of:-

[s]Studiomaster C3x 1U rack mixer. Full specs are here. This has 4 XLR/Jack inputs for microphone, two on the front and two at the rear. In total there are 12 inputs, the rest being jack or RCA phono. It also has an effects processor with various types of reverb and delay.[/s]
dbx 231 graphic equaliser. Details here. This is a 2 channel, 31 band EQ. Includes power lead, but no instructions or box. £75
[s]Millenium RL-1001 mains powered rack light with power lead. £10[/s]
Warwick Rockbag 4U rack bag with zipped covers front and back, carry handles, shoulder strap and an accessories pocket. £30
The available items are currently still in the rack, so if you want to buy all of it, PM me and we'll discuss price. It's all in good working condition, however there is slight damage to the front left of the rack casing and it's tricky to get the zip round the bottom left corner, but it does work. Collection is possible, from Warwickshire, 30 mins west of J15 on M40, or I can arrange a courier at cost. 6. I wasn't wild about the standard strings on my Kala Ubass, so I tried a set of Silver Rumblers. They seemed very sticky and if anything I liked them less. Now I've seen Strings Direct are selling Pyramid Black Tape Nylon strings for Ubass. Has anyone tried these? They're expensive, but I wonder if they would feel more like "normal" strings.
 7. Time for a bump. I'm willing to include courier costs in the price, if that helps.
 8. Does no one else really want to play something different under the solo? There was a RATM riff I thought I could make fit, but ARN got dropped before I could try it. It would have annoyed the guitarist at least.
 9.
Nice. Surprised the previous owner didn't also add a tugbar.
Maybe. Period-correct isn't an issue for me, it's just a very nice bass. But as I'm not playing at all right now, I can't justify keeping all of them.
 10. This is now sold. Continuing the downsizing, I'm selling my Fender "Crafted in Japan" 62 reissue Precision. By the serial number, made between 1999 and 2002. A rather nice sunburst with PB Vintage USA pickups. According to the information I was given when I bought it a year ago, it has had some work done to it two owners ago.

Pots were changed to CTS, with wiring changed to cloth - to make it a re-issue internally as well as externally
Tuners have been replaced for reverse style Gotohs, again to be period correct.
I've added a bridge cover, which may not be period correct, I just like it. The screw holes on the replacement tuners don't exactly line up with the stock holes, and rather than drill new holes, one screw has been left out on each tuner. I was also told when I bought it that two of the elephant ears are slightly bent, which may still be true, but I can't see it. The tuners are marked in places, and a bit tarnished, or at least dull. None of this affects the tuning. There are plenty of scratches and tiny dings on the body, as it clearly hasn't spent the last 15 years or so under a bed. There's nothing that should worry you, unless you're looking for something pristine. The neck is good and plays well, if you like Precision necks. It's strung with Rotosound Tru Bass black nylon strings, which are nicer than I expected. Specs

Body: Alder
Neck: Maple
Fretboard: Rosewood
Radius: 184R
Frets: 20
Nut width: 42mm
Bridge: Spiral Vintage
Pickups: PB Vintage USA
It comes with a generic hard shell case. Collection is possible, from Warwickshire, 30 mins west of J15 on M40, or I can arrange a courier at cost. Price is £525 + delivery if required.
 11. This is now sold. So, I'm selling this KAM Colourbeam 6 DMX LED flower effect light. This lighting effect throws multi-coloured spots of light around the room according to preset programmes, sound-to-light operation or DMX. It is in very good working condition and comes with the original box and packaging, power lead, safety chain and the user manual. It originally cost over £100, but I will accept £45, excluding delivery. Now, the pictures.
 12. These are now sold, subject to completing the deal. Having stopped gigging, I'm now reducing the amount of gear there is around the house. This is a set of 4 Prolight LEDJ brand LED PAR 56 cans on a T-bar stand. These great lights which can be set to change colour by preselected patterns, by sound activation or can be connected by DMX. There's a pair of the LEDJ30 model, which are controlled by dip switches, and a pair of LEDJ06, which are controlled by buttons. All the lights work and are in good condition, and I have the user manuals. I don't have any DMX leads. The stand I think came from Maplin. It's showing its age a bit and one of the washers on the light retaining bolts could do with replacing, but it works and holds up securely. It also has two detachable arms which can be used to hold more lights. There's a four gang extension lead taped to the T-bar and I'll also throw in a remote controlled extension, which switches on an off with a remote unit, and 4 safety chains. The 4 lights alone cost around £195 new. I'll accept £95 for the lot, excluding delivery costs if required.. I'm in Warwickshire, about 30 mins west from J15 on the M40. Collection would be preferable, or reasonable delivery distance for petrol. Courier is possible if there's no better alternative. I also have a KAM Colourbeam 6 for sale here. And now, the pictures.
 13. I had one of these. When my main amp failed I had to use it in a couple of small pub gigs. Several people asked how I could get such a great sound out of such a small amp. Also ideal for practice. Good luck with the sale.

 15.
Exactamundo! BassChat is probably the world's leading repository of useful information about Fender basses. A certain other bass forum may go deeper into the subject but many observers believe that forum's usefulness to be compromised by other factors. And - in my view - FMIC's choke-hold on information surpasses regulatory requirements, bordering instead on the clandestine. For one thing, it's always been difficult to find out the names and backgrounds of Fender's management and FMIC's corporate officers. Juskiewicz (Gibson), Hall (RIC), Paul Reed Smith and Chris Martin (CF Martin) are household names in our world. But can any of us immediately name the top person at Fender Guitars? Or FMIC's CEO? The last one to put his face about was Bill Schulz and he's been dead for years.
Does it matter? I can't name the President of Switzerland, but they seem to do ok. They also do a very nice line in savings accounts.
 16. I had a strange fantasy that when he died I'd be in band that could play Theme for an Imaginary Western as a tribute, but when the time came I wasn't even in a band.
 17.
Developing a terrible cramp in my right arm once, I had to finish Ravel's piano concerto in D without using it. I'm not even sure anybody noticed.
19.
Being concerned about not looking like a 'hipster' or being trendy is just as bad as following a trend - you're letting what you think other people will think about you dictate what you wear. Wear what you like...it's just a hat, unless you invest it with more meaning...
Actually, the problem is the meaning my wife invests it with,
 20.
All Volkswagen Golfs are made in Germany ?? No, think again !!
Yes, they make Golfs in various places around the world, but I don't think they're marketing a Golf made in Germany as a superior product to one made in Slovakia, or Mexico.
