Advice: How much should I ask for this?

Oooh, I like this thread! I just can't get enough of Opeth, DT etc. Check out Between The Buried And Me for some really amazing bass work by Dan Briggs, although I can imagine the music itself might not be to everyones tastes.

Mmmmm Sunn O)))! I bet their bassist doesn't actually use a cab that reaches down to A himself, they're pretty hard to come by!

Most memorable instruments you've played?
Welshbassist replied to nobodysprefect's topic in General Discussion
I haven't played any really memorable instruments, but the closest so far is my very own Ibanez SR-505. It's set up amazingly - apart from the iffy b string. EDIT - I played a Rick in Liverpool once, didn't like the neck! Was memorable for not being memorable. -

Toilet seats are badass!

Trust me, you'll NEVER get a plan sorted in your head. It's Basschat's fault!

I REALLY want a Bongo now! How much does a used HH Bongo V usually go for?
-
I'm not 100%, but I think he got it with the amp when he bought it as well! Pianocoversonline.com only do the 210 and 410, not the 310 for some reason . Sorry mate! Maybe if you ask Owen, he might be able to send you in the right track!
-
Haven't heard them myself, not really a telly person, but my mate told me ALL about them today -_-. Sound like it's worth a listen though!
-
My cats REALLY like my UL410, but thankfully I got a cover as a part of the sale (cheers Owen), which solved the problem before it started. They sleep on the cover, which isn't bad really. You should see the state of my Ashdown EB though!

I'd simply suggest another cab!

The Rockschool books are a bit tame in my opinion, more than one of the so-called grade 5 pieces consisted of not much more than roots! I think it's just the books that are aimed are younger audiences than other "serious" grade books/courses. Great building blocks though - the book provides you with arpeggios etc, which would prove to be really helpful to someone who isn't usually exposed to music theory (who the books are aimed at, I'd imagine) Bach, Wooten and Mckee for your AS? That sounds great! I can't get enough of those Candyrat guitarists, Craig D'Andrea and Don Ross are my faves though! 100%? Doubt I'll score that high, even though I thought I did quite well! But I think I get enough to get me into the course I want next year .

It went ace! I'm really pleased with how it went! I got a really friendly exam lady, which was nice too! Although one thing did go wrong - I decided to sit on a drum throne, rather than a normal person chair (teehee), but as I sat on it, I noticed that it was a bit high, so I put my left hand down there, and tried to adjust it. Turns out the seat wasn't on the stand properly, and the seat fell, and stabbed a bit of my skin off (hardly the biggest injury ever, but it looked brutal)! I had to play with a bleeding left hand, so I ended up covering my fretboard in blood, basically, especially around the 12ths fret, where I played my improv solo haha. But apart from a bloody hand (the actual cut was pretty small though), it all went hunky dory.
Well, i primarily need it to just blast through some stuff this month for one of my university interviews, the stuff they will be asking me about will include: treble and bass clef notes key signatures scales, intervals basic rhythm so it's pretty general
http://www.musictheory.net/ Easier to digest than books, in my opinion!

Oooh, my practical exams tomorrow (today? time flies when you're practicing!)! I'm not really nervous at all, I quite like the pressure, but it's weird to think that a good chunk of your final mark relies on how well you perform for only a couple of minutes! For those interested, I'm doing Crazy Little Thing Called Love by Queen as my ensemble piece (can't get enough of playing this!), and All Funked Up from the Rockschool Grade 5 book as my solo, it's pretty simple, but it's a catchy and groovy piece, and it has plenty of space for improv, love it! Anyway, I should be off to bed now, I really need to get out of the habit of late nights. Wish me luck, basschatters!

I know someone who uses a banjo gigbag for his, it works!

I guess it sounds cool when it's out (when I'm just practicing at home), but not so good if you want people to be able to make out individual notes, especially live! Mines pushed in most of the time.
