1.
Very useful for practises and the like, I used it a few times for sound samples and atmosphere recordings and it stood up well. Looking to sell it on to improve my portable setup really. In perfect condition, includes box, instructions, 1GB sd, american power supply (I only ever used it with batteries). Little tripod and holder thing, windshield, headphones etc. How about £100 posted?
PM sent
2. I wish I had half this guys talent! The guys a genius, fantastic feel to his bass lines.
3.
Hi, I'll be off on tour playing with Rose Kemp next week if anybody is interested in seeing a freaky upside down bass player, my two large amps and ridiculous pedal board in action.
Rose Kemp?? Didnt he do that TV program, 'Gangs'??
4. I bought a pickguard off These Guys They have a site on Ebay, the quality is superb, shipped from the States, very pleased with mine.
5.
So they're not bad then? I just found out they're "Made In Korea", so that's put me off a bit and probably explained why they're relatively cheap.
My Lakland Darryl Jones is 'crafted in Korea', and its one of the nicest basses for feel and sound I have played, and I have played a lot! Geddy Lee? another good example. You have got to pick these basses up, play them and decide if they are right for you. You dont necessarilly have to go with whats written on the woodwork! Be your own judge. Good luck, just have fun. T le B
6. Me and Mr Miller...............cool!
7. Have decided to spend some pennies on my newly acquired Lakland DJ , in the form of a new pickguard. What do you think, white pearl or black pearl??
8. Robert Cray's album, 'Strong Persuader' Blues at its best.
9. Thanks Rayman, Ive saved hard so I can "treat myself to a little luxery!" Lets face it playing bass is my only vice. That DJ maple of yours Niceguyhomer looks sweeeeeet, where did you get your PG's from? Both look really really good with the maple neck.
10.
looks the dogs, what about a tort scratchplate? mmmmmmm ....
Had thought about this and then saw Darryl Jones's on the Lakland website with a silver/grey mottled scratchplate,(dont know what its called) but it looks really cool!
11. Is that a very young Mr Dunn on stage??
12. Went to The Gallery in Camden today and bought myself a second hand Darryl Jones 4, black with rosewood board, and I love it! I didnt think I would get on with the slimmer neck, (my main bass is a Musicman Stingray) but it just felt so comfortable and easy to play, cant wait to try it out in the band. Here are some piccies, as well as the old stalwart, here are my two beauties, .............. Like Mr Ford said,' available in any colour as long as its black' Laters, got some practicing to do T le B
13. Nice looking bass my friend. What is the neck width at the nut in mm's. Cheers, T le B

21.
Thats a beauty--Ive a L2000 in black but thats the nicest G&L ive seen yet----Id have snapped it up but just got a Lakland 55-02----dont suppose youre interested in a Warwick Corvette Double Buck as a trade?
Afraid not, I have been down the Warwick road, had a fantastic Streamer Stage1, which I loved, but again too mellow for my band. The best thing about playing is buying and selling and trying all these basses out to see what fits your sound and feel. Good luck with your sale. T le B.
22. Thanks for the comments guys, and yes martthebass "God is obviously a bass player", lets hope he buys it! Now if you had a 4 string DJ in black, then I could be pursuaded.
23. I have a G&L Cherry burst 5 string bass for sale which is in absolute mint condition. I am gutted, as this is probably one of the best looking basses I have ever seen and owned, but sadly I dont play, or do this bass justice any more. I play a Stingray in my band, and my 5 string G&L has become redundant, but rather than keep her in a guitar case hidden forever, I would rather see her being played. I will offer a discount to BASSCHAT members, this bass was recently advertised for £850 on Ebay. However I am willing to sell for £750. This is a USA, fully authenticated, with a certificate matching the serial number of the bass together with the original sale tickets, G&L brochures and G&L hard case. it has the most fantastic wood grain I have seen on a bass, and comes complete with a burred maple neck and HIPSHOT tuners. The allround tonal sound you get from this bass is absolutely fantastic. Please feel free to try before you buy, this bass is mint! Collection in person prefered. I am based in Surrey. 24. Oh my God have bass martians suddenly landed and taken up residence in Surrey?? Have had a look around the site and I love it, just what us bassists need, a pool of unlimited knowledge. Whoohoo! I have been playing bass for the last 5 years, having dabbled in guitar, I decided to be more constructive with the bass, so I took my London College of Music exams up to grade 5. From there, a good friend who is a drummer, and I went to the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford Surrey on a part time course. (Fantastic value for money, highly recommended). From there the two of us met up with two guitarists and formed a band. That was 18 momths ago. We play Red Hot Chillies, Stereophonics, Rolling Stones, Green Day, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Feeder, Josh Kelly, Hendrix, Paul Weller and The Cure! Pretty diverse set! I am lucky (or mad enough) to play a Warwick Streamer Stage 1, a 4 string Musicman Singray, and my latest aquisition as of last Saturday is a G&L 5 string L2500 which sounds sooooooooooo nice! I play this through a Warwick Profet 5.1 head linked to a Warwick 4x11 cab. Laters Dudes, Tone Le Bone
