  1. To be fair: no. I did think about that but then I listened to a few live recordings and can guarantee that’s not the case.
  2. Thanks for the supportive comments. Made me feel a lot better!
  3. I did see this and I remember thinking, stinky poo, that really sucks, why do people treat their so-called band mates like that.
  4. Think I’ll listen to some Puscifer.
  5. So, got a call 3 nights before Christmas. Sorry Steve , the guitarist wants the old bass player back. Says he’ll quit otherwise. Bearing in mind the other guy quit and I’ve thrown myself in, I feel a little hard done by. flipin raging.
  6. Saw Devin Townsend on Saturday night. Absolutely spectacular!
  7. He seemed fine on Saturday and they’re back on full touring schedule.
  8. Supported The Exploited on Saturday night in Belfast. Absolutely fantastic night, they were totally on fire! Big brawl broke out at one point which was a shame and the PA packed in briefly but otherwise amazing stuff. Felt like I was 15 again when Wattie signed my original copy of Punk’s Not Dead!
  9. The Exploited in Belfast, Saturday night. We were one of the support bands, which was nice 😁
  10. Machine Head last Thursday in Belfast. Absolutely epic night.
  11. I’ve got the best results from blending a clean and a dirty track. I use an ABY pedal and send one direct to interface and the other through a Sparrow preamp. Low pass the clean and then blend the dirt to taste. I might stick an IR on the clean as well for more character.
  12. Some great suggestions here. Quite a few I’ve not previously heard: I will check them all out when I get the time.
  13. Headsticks. Folk punk, can’t beat it.
  14. JJ Burnell for me. His bass sound blew me away when I was a kid and really convinced me that this was the instrument for me. That's why I use Rotosound strings (as well as Ashdown amps).
  15. I quite like this idea, thanks.
  16. I have a GSR200 which I love but the battery compartment is a faff. You need to take 2 screws out to change the battery which, in the normal course of events is fine but if I need a quick change it’s a pain in the derrière. Does anyone know of a simple replacement that’s easier to use? Or should I just get rid of the screws and hold it on with a bit of duck tape? Thanks.
  17. Public Image by PIL. Another cracker.
  18. Some excellent answers here. Another favourite of mine is Warhead by the UK Subs.
  19. Thanks man, appreciate the advice.
  20. Lucretia (my reflection). It’s so simple, never varies but just drives the song so hard! Love it. Gimme your favourites!
  21. Thanks guys, I think I’ll give them.a rattle, see what happens.
  22. I was wondering if anyone on here suffers from pains in their hands and / or fingers who uses compression gloves? I saw an advert on Facebook and, as a sufferer myself, thought it might be an idea. They are fingerless and therefore won’t make any difference to your tone.
  23. £469 in Dawsons Liverpool.
  24. I put castors on my 410 and it makes life a lot easier. No change in sound that I’ve noticed. 2 locking, 2 not.
  25. Bought last week on a trip to Liverpool. Hadn’t intended to buy anything, just browsing but I just couldn’t resist. This is a cracking guitar.
