Hi Andy, This bass used to be mine and also Mark (Bassaussie) owned it for a few months as well. I sold it to WaveyDavy and then somehow it's got to you. One of the nicest Sadowskys I have played, cracking tone and super playable. Just a couple of minor points which I may be wrong about as my memory isn't great but I think I bought it in August 2005 from a guy in the States who had had it about a month from new so I am pretty sure its newer than 2002. Also, The VTC's were not factory fitted until more recently and if I recall correctly I got John Diggins (Jaydee) to fit it for me. Best of luck with this - I think you should hold onto it!!! Also, please let me know whoever does get this as I need to know where it is for if ever I want to buy it back myself. I did about 60 gigs with this bass!! Steve
I got the date from this ad http://www.adverts.ie/showproduct.php?product=98347 . Folk have asked for weight its just a tad over 9lbs. and wear spots on neck, basically where your thumb rests, neck is super smooth. -

Guys i'm hankering after the Will Lee Model on here having played one in the US. I need to shift this, so need a confirmed buyer before I can proceed. Usual superb Sadowsky build quality, VTC etc, some wear marks on back of the neck from good honest work as per an old Fender et al, hence she's a fabulous player and cuts though great in my covers band. A couple of chips here and there on the lower edge and round lower strap button, nothing horrible just battle scars, pretty much perfect from the front. £1100 ships free in Sadowsky semi hard case. This is strictly a feeler as per the above. 2002, almost Vintage as Sadowskys go! If the WL sells I will withdraw this cause she's fab.
Either. Put a good signal in, no matter what it is, you've got something good to work with. If you are used to using an active sound, use that, if you are a passive man, use that. The magic needs to happen at the mixing desk and more crucially, by an engineer who really knows their stuff...
Thanks, I love the urgency of my active sound but wondered if it would noise up on a recording.

Sorry to be impatient, but its been over six months now since these went on tour, and they seem to get no nearer East Anglia than when they first set off, I realise we are considered a backwater but c'mon give us a fair crack! I know theyve been recalled for newer models but that only makes the wait longer, Rant over........
that might help: http://cgi.ebay.de/Sadowsky-Metro-Series-H...=item35a61df96a would you also consider trading it for a very good 70ties fender p-bass? sandmann
Yep id seen that, our Danish friend is quite expensive and I don't think i can run to a new one.
Bass central have a couple of metro P's listed but I never seen one anywhere else; If you roll onto the neck pickup & play with the VTC you can get a seriously nice P sound out of one of these.
Contacted Bass Central, and the website is out of date, they have no stock! Yup I can get the sound no problem, its just me being a cosmetic tart!
Just had a cruise through the Sadowsky website and they don't seem to do a Metro with just the Precision-style split coil. You can only get that on an NYC ultra-vintage, which is going to be a pretty penny, methinks... I like the new P&J Jazzes, though. Very nice looking things. If only they did necks as nice as the current US Fenders, I'd have one.
Yup, no longer available, hence my "long shot" comment. It's just a tarty thing on my part, I like things to be balanced with some karma! Oh Oh, no one understands me!!!

I have a Sadowsky Jazz and a PJ but really want a P puped one only without the extra Jazz pup. Does anyone have one and fancy swapping for my PJ, obviously value wise u will gain, but ill be happy, shes mint with mintish case. Long shot I know. So basically I want to swap my PJ for a Sadowsky Metro P. The Olly white Jazz is going nowhere! Pic:
