Total Watts

1. I ordered an american jazz de luxe about a week ago and I got it on Monday. It is natural ash/maple finish so I suppose it is quicker to paint. (They just dip it in a big bucket). Very happy with it btw, it plays very well comparing to high-end basses I have owned over the years.
2.
This seems to have turned into a 'which songs do you hate playing' list ... in which case I'll add Losing My Religion (I hate that song with a passion). Mustang Sally is so darned popular with punters. I've never met a musician (or drummer) yet that liked playing it
Jaco Patorius loved to play Mustang Sally, as a matter of fact.
3. I can highly recommend the dingwall super J. Here is a pic of the bass just to demonstrate that it looks good too!
4. Selling my very nice 5 string Carvin LB5 fretless bass. This bass is exceptionally easy to play and sounds great. I believe the bass is from 2001, can't quite remember, but its in very, good condition. It comes with original case. Price GBP 800.
5. I bought a bass from France last week - turned out it was actually cheaper for me to fly down to Paris, hand over the money, inspect the goods, and return than shipping it. And is was safer as well, scam-wise, since I didn't know the seller and he did'nt know me. And I got to bring back some good cheese.
6. Well, yes. I think it is a good price for the buyer.
7. I am in Oslo, but I will be travelling to London this week
8. I paid USD 4055 for the bass. On top of that, you have to slap VAT. I'd say I'm not asking an exorbitant price for the bass. And it's good looking too!
9.
Nice to meet you. I'm Mickey. May I call you Sven? And have you introduced yourself yet? Oh, and nice bass.
Hi Mickey Yes of course you can call me Sven! I think I introduced myself when I joined the group but I'm not sure... What is the custom around here? Yes nice bass indeed. My "problem" is that I have several nice basses and some of them have to go now. My basses have outgrown my flat. Cheers John
10. Sadowsky NYC Will Lee signature model for sale. Mint condition, bought new in November 2009. Price GBP 2200 including original Sadowsky case. The picture is the actual bass.
11. Still selling my Alembic Rogue 4 str bass, now at reduced price, and I will also consider trading it for a fretless bass of equal quality. The bass is in excellent shape. Playability, craftsmanship and sound is of well-known Alembic quality, which is top. It is a killer slap hand bass, amongst other things. Basically, you can tweak this instrument to get the sound you want. I have used this bass for about a year, played a few gigs but mostly kept it in my home nice and safe. It has not been in much use lately as I have converted to five strings. It is in the same condition as it were when I bought it new, allowing of course for careful use during a few gigs and practice sessions. I am asking GBP 2000 for the bass or trade it in a decent fretless bass. It comes with a rock-solid alembic case. I will ship anywhere.
