6.
Yes, you probably are getting old. That's why you have time for others. You're doing the music world (and the young lad), a great service.
Pass the tissues! you are right, thank you.
7. I have a young lad comes round once every other week for a "bass lesson". Im not a teacher, or qualified or anything, but just love that he comes and enjoys. It's hard to remember when the notes just don't fall to hand by second nature, so it's great just to pass on some time honed & probably bad habits and techniques. The main thing is he enjoys it, and so do I. Am I getting old?
8.
Is she fit?
Ye, pics please!
9. F*** a doodle do!
10.
Great basses these, the only reason I'd sell mine is to upgrade to a 1025X / 2025X!
They are indeed. Good solid sound for the dosh.
11. Yamaha BB415. In a two tone dark cherry sunburst finish. Passive Volume/Tone controls. 3 position selector for neck only/both/bridge only pickups. Matching headstock with vintage open geared tuners. There is a dink under the "HA" of Yamaha which I have marker penned out, you should be able to make it out in the pictures. There is a little buckle rash but nothing much, a small ding on the back of neck but again barely noticeable, the front of the bass is pretty much mint with a really nice high gloss deep finish. Sound wise, she could do with some new strings if you like the zingy tone like me, currently though, especially on the bridge pup she gives has a nice funky sound. SOLD. Comes in gig bag not the hard case pictured.
12. No Hijack apology needed, good to see the thread revived, I'd forgotten how good looking I am!

16. This is great guys, thanks. Is there a single device, rather than 3 individual bits of kit, that we could use for 3 instruments all into separate amps?
17. Standard 19" rack, externally it's: Roughly 20" x 18" x 6.25".
18. Some advice wanted on that. Plus our two guitarists want to go wireless as well, is there a system that would cater for the lot? Advice please.
19. Oh well it sold on ebay pretty quick! I should have been a paramedic!
20. Not expecting to sell this here but thought she might be of interest to some vintage amp fans if just to look at the electricy things inside! Listed on ebay more for the 6 stringers: "1970's Fender Musicmaster Bass Combo, These are widely used and favoured by guitarists and not bass players for their renowned tone and amazing headroom from a 12 watt all valve amp. This amp when I bought it worked but had a loud hum, quite common I believe. It has now been completely re built using many of the original components that were found serviceable after testing. The main problem was that the original wax post to post circuit board had failed, again quite common. This was replaced, and the whole circuit rebuilt by hand (Suffolk Sound Services) using mainly the original components bar what look like some new resistors. The capacitors, diodes, transformers, pots are all original. It has had two brand new Electro Harmonix 6V6 power output tubes fitted, purchased from Watford Valves £28.80 (Invoice Included). The 12AX7 pre amp tube is original and works fine. The 12' speaker is the original Fender driver. The speaker grill and "Fender" badge are undamaged. The cabinet covering is great with no nicks or damage, just some tears around the inside of the cabinet where you pull out the amp chassis to service it. There is a little pitting on the Silverface control panel. There is some rust pitting to the chrome work on the handle and amp support strips. The sound is phenomenal, with tons of headroom and tone to die for, you can really drive it hard and she breaks up fantastically, add some effects pedals and It's all there. These are quite rare. The amp will be shipped with the valves removed, and boxed separately. I have attached a link to Suffolk Sounds Services for your interest." 22.
Dimension along the rack edge if possible - want to check if my soundcraft mixer will fit. Thanks.
Outer edge of each rail to other rail is 19". They are however flexible by a good cm or so. Anything standard rack mountable should fit, there are two screws included and ill see if i have another couple. Andy
