2. I use JustHost for hosting our site and have been looking at the standard templates they promote from Weebly and Wordpress. They have a wide variety of templates that cover sales, downloads, music etc which should fit your requirements. I have selected a new base line template I want to use and will be updating our site in the next few weeks as ours is currently a bit....well......meh! :)

  4. For Sale - Nordstrand 3B-5A 3 band on board preamp. Controls consist of 5 knobs and 2 switches (switches can be removed from system) - treble, mid (pull to change frequency), bass, blend, vol (pull passive). I had the pre amp in my W&T and had the 2 switches wired to the pickups for are for series / parallel. If you don't have holes for the switches you can remove them and wire the pickups direct to the preamp. There are wiring details on the Nordstrand site.

Overall gain is +/- 10db by a trim pot on the circuit board
    Bass +/- 12db @ 50hz
    Treble +/- 12db @ 4khz
    Midrange +/- 12db@1khz
    9 volt system

New, one of these would cost £205 and I am looking for £110.00 plus shipping.

Heres a few pics of the preamp in and out of the bass.

  5. Withdrawn from sale - a matching set of 5 string Kent Armstrong K5 pickups. These have a lovely warm and rounded tone to them. They contain full-length bar pole-pieces allowing a wide variety of string spacing. The widely spaced coils sample a fairly long section of the string, giving a high-tech but not twangy bass sound. The 4 conductor wiring allows coil splitting, series/parallel, phase inversion etc.

Dimensions are 40mm wide 110mm long and 18mm deep. http://www.kentarmst...s/products.html

  6. Nice job! I've just fitted a set into my W&T along with a Pope pre and 3 way mini switches that allow each pickup to be individually series / single coil / parallel ........holy mother of tone monsters! With the EQ flat or passive the pickups have changed the sound from the previous Kent Armstrongs warm and rounded to a clear hi-fi and you can "hear all my [s]mistakes [/s]...er....... nuances". Me likey :D

  7. Personally I like going with seperates for speakers and amps because if one item fails you have a fighting chance of beg / steal / borrowing a replacement. You can always upgrade each bit seperately if you want. Your 15" tops should be able to handle some bass & kick to support your backline OK. (If you're a loud band I would probably go for a seperate sub as well.)

You could get 1 power amp and run the tops from 1 channel and the monitors from the other. The monitors would just need a cable running from an Aux line out from the desk to the back of the amp. Your manual will show you how to do it.

As for bargains....funny you should ask.....http://basschat.co.uk/topic/231424-2-x-yamaha-p5000s-power-amps-for-sale/page__fromsearch__1

    :)

  8. I am assuming you have 2 x Hydrive 410 (1000 Watt @ 4 ohm)

In bridged mono mode the QSC only uses Chan 1 and provides 1600 watts @ 4 ohms & 1000 watts @8 ohms. You could run a bridged speakon cable from Chan 1 of the amp to your first cab and then a standard speakon from Cab 1 to Cab 2 (daisy chained). This would give you the full 1600 watts at 4 ohms.

The sound would be mahoosive! Hope that helps :)

  9. Just as it says in the topic, I have 2 rack cases for sale. Each of them is in good condition with all latches and handles working. Postage cost from Aberdeen would depend on where you live. I may be able to deliver locally.

4 Unit case made by CP Cases - [s]£40 [/s]£35

4 Unit case (extra deep - great for cable storage) made by Freestyle - [s]£40 [/s]£35

    ....or both for [s]£70 [/s]£60

  10. Now Sold

For sale (or possible trade!) is my USA Fender Jazz V American Deluxe FMT (flame maple top). Its shown in the original pics below fitted with Nordstrands and a Babicz bridge. I have now changed these out to the original BBOT and SCN (single coil noiseless) pickups which I have shown in the new pics. The Nordstrands are on sale here on the forum. It comes with the Fender hard case. All in very good condition. I have good feedback – links are in my signature.

Serial number is DZ4002161 which can be checked out as manufactured at the Corona plant in 2004. Neck is bound rosewood with inlay blocks and the pre amp is 18v active. The sunburst isn’t quite as bright golden as the photos suggest but its still darn pretty! String spacing is 18mm at the bridge and the nut is 48mm. I have just noticed that there are 2 screws missing from the tuner (these dont seem to affect operation). However I will be getting in touch with Schaller to get replacements asap. See link here : http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1

I have now dropped the price from £1150 to £990 for the bass and case plus shipping.

    New photos:

Heres a couple of photos I took late last year. .

Is it possible to buy the transmitters for the Sony separately?

And if so is it still cheaper to just buy another complete set from Thomann?
I couldnt see on their website any option for just the transmitter. However on E-bay they are going for £230 so it would be cheaper to get the full kit from Thomann.
