1. I (and a few others on here) use a Sony DWZ wireless system. I use the B30 version but there are several options available here: http://www.sony.co.uk/pro/products/broadcast-products-dwz-series-digital-wireless-packages

I bought mine through Thomann as they often have good pricing on these.

  2. I've sent a wireless back for repair and got a replacement back within a month. I guess it depends how busy they are (summer hols etc.) and also if they are waiting on parts. I would give them a quick call to check. They are usually very good with their service. :)

  3. I emailed Nordstrand tonight at 9.45pm with a techy question about one of their custom / legacy pre-amps. 19 minutes later i had the answer I was looking for.....yes

    19 minutes!!! :o :D

As the advert goes..... "If Carslberg did pre-amp customer support....."

  4. Spooky....I got done by a seller at the start of the year....for a set of DR Neon whites! All got resolved as I'd paid by Paypal and got my money back. The mods here were very swift to follow up and the guy was quickly relegated to the ex-member bin. I hope this is just a hiccup in communication and gets sorted for you quickly. :)

  5. Hey Basic5,

Well spotted! Actually I had cut and paste from one of my other threads and didnt change the preamp type. I double checked tonight and the preamp isn't an Aguilar but is a Bartolini NTMB 918F and is 18v.....oops!

I bought the bass second hand in its current configuration in the USA and assumed everything was standard. After looking at a few other Basics on the net the bridge looks very similar with the exceptions of the sides of the base plate not being raised. There are also other basics with the same bridge as mine so it may be a slight production change? It has a dual truss rod neck and is serial number 4844.

  6. Heres my Korg M1 keyboard which I have owned for about 10 years. Its in pretty clean condition for its age with only a few scratches to the bottom / lower sides of the casing from it being moved around. I'm not a keyboard player so cannot vouch for every sequencing / recording element of it working. All the buttons and on board sounds seem to work fine. I bought it second hand and have only used it as a midi controller for Cubase!

Looking for £125 plus shipping. It only has a soft case but would be wrapped extraordinarily well for protection :)

I will try and get better pics in the next couple of days.

  7. Looking for [s]£1,450[/s] £1,250 plus shipping

For sale or trade is my original USA made Tobias Basic 5 string. Although they named the range "Basic" these basses are anything but basic! Not to be confused with the Toby or Killer budget range of basses. Lovely bass, but I’m selling a few basses as I'm looking for a change……

I would give it a 8.5 / 10 for condition. As you can see from the photos there are some lacquer cracks on the edges, mainly around the jack socket area. Everything else is good and working fine.

    18 volt electronics
Neck through laminate construction of maple and purple heart
    String spacing at bridge 17mm
    Nut width 45mm
    Scale length 34”
    Rosewood fretboard
    Black hardware
Body wings are made from Zebrano
Bartolini NTMB 918F - Vol (pull for passive), pan, 3 band EQ with 2 position mid selector switch.
    2 Bartolini pickups
    Straploks
    Side fret markers
    Weight 9.5lbs
I comes complete with hard case.

Trade wise I'm pretty much sorted for basses at the moment but ones I could be interested in are Fodera Emperor, Mayones Jabba, JCR CM or ST, Sei Flamboyant etc. It would need to be a 5 string with active electronics, 24 frets and strangely enough I do like a highly figured wood top.

  8. Demeter do excellent amps. I have the rackmount HBP1-800D pre/power setup. I use it mainly with my Barefaced Big Twin T (2 x 12, 1 x 6 and tweeter). Oh MY! :D As you say you can hear yourself without having to crank the volume. I've had mine at nearly half vol. and that was loud enough. Plenty of headroom and clear as anything.
