The best way to get a "relic" bass: buy a new one and gig it regularly for 20 to 30 years.

Or do what Sting did: ask your roadie to go out and buy the oldest beaten up old fender you can find..........
Sometimes the roadworn Fenders go for as little 550 s/h which would seem to be good value.
13 hole, a few surface marks, other than that its virtually new, original Fender part. £35 + p & p.
If you need a pic, please PM me with your email address.
Mint condition Roland Gaia, brilliant bass sounds, real analogy tones, easy and great fun to programme. Comes complete with box, mains lead, disc & manuals. £375 and I guess about £15 for insured posting. Collection possible.
As above with modulation switch. Mint condition, 3 months old, with the slightest chip to the paintwork top left hand corner.
Brilliant pedal, lots of variation, and great analog sound. Includes box & paperwork. £85 posted.
Very good conditioned Aguilar octave pedal including box..... these really are excellent pedals, but I don't have any use for it in my present band, so it needs to go. Checked at The Gallery and they sell new for £155. So asking £95 posted. Please PM me.
Mint EBS UniChorus, boxed, does pitch modulation and flanging, true pro pedal.
£80 posted

I'm thinking about getting an iRig Stomp box and using it in conjunction with an Ampkit effects package App for iPad, and was wondering if anyone has been that way before? Is it a viable alternative to a collection of regular bass stomp boxes?
Cheers, Paul.

We are drums, bass, rhythm guitar, and lead guitar/backing vocals and we are looking for a singer/frontman who is experienced with recording and gigging, who is available to rehearse 3 times a month initially to learn set and then to be available for one or two gigs per month. Our setlist and demos are all on our website. We all come from the Democratic Republic of Essex and so expect you to provide 20% input to the band in all aspects. www.dtlband.co.uk
Further info from Terry: 07958 333506.
For the classic SR5 sound try listening to a couple of tracks I played on with a previous band: Learn Again and Long Haul. They can be found on the link.
