  1. I'm based in the Netherlands, too, so that would be awesome! I'll PM you.
  2. I've just bought one of these and I absolutely love it! So much so that I'd like a spare if anyone has one for sale.
  3. The Tone Hammer has gone, but I still have the DB 210.
  4. Still up for sale to anyone willing to make a serious offer.
  5. You’re very kind. It was a pleasure dealing with you, Stuart!
  6. Given the description, yours must be an Original Series, like the other Overwater I have up for sale, although mine is a recent version with very different specs: From what I’ve seen, I’d say they started using the branded bridges in the early ‘90s, although they currently use a variety of bridges for their custom models.
  7. It is! It’s just a shame it’s sitting in the case, unused, hence the sale.
  8. It's funny. I'm not a big fan of fretted maple, but fretless... Sublime!
  9. I know the feeling. I'll update the ad should anything change.
  10. Just curious. I thought I recognised it. Did it also have the filter circuit, or the later 2-band one?
  11. NB: the Tone Hammer has been sold. Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 incl. Aguilar bag and DB 210 in 'Classic Black' incl. Aguilar cover. Both the amp and the cabinet are in excellent condition. (The amp looks unused and even includes the original box.) Tone Hammer (incl. bag): GBP 550.00 DB 210 (incl. cover): GBP 500.00 I'm based in Amsterdam but happy to ship elsewhere if you arrange for a courier.
  12. Is this the one that was on Marktplaats for a while?
  13. I also own a pre-EB StingRay in the walnut finish with a black epoxy preamp and a fretted rosewood board. Mine has a '78 body and an '80 neck. Given that Music Man discontinued the black epoxy preamps in late '78 / early '79 and didn't introduce rosewood fretted boards as an option until late '79, I presume there aren't too may examples around with this combination of specs. Either way, this bass is an absolute steal at this price!
  14. I've been curious about these ever since I saw them in the '92 catalogue. Never tried one, unfortunately.
  15. I’m pretty sure I played your bass in 2001 when it was still hanging in the Overwater workshop. I loved it and played it all day, and always wondered where it had ended up. i once saw a translucent red Original Series four-string with identical specs to yours on eBay, incl. the Progress headstock, but your bass was the inspiration for mine.
  16. Priced now slashed to GBP 1650!!! No trades. I’ve decided to part with my Overwater Original Series five-string, as it’s currently not getting much use. The bass was custom built for me in 2015 and has only been used in the studio, so there’s literally not a scratch on it! Specs: Maple/ebony neck Rosewood fretboard Flamed maple top Mahogany back; 17mm string spacing at bridge 34”scale Overwater humbucking pickups John East modular active circuit with trim pots for bass and treble, dual concentric mid sweep, volume, and pickup pan Gotoh tuners Hipshot Bass Xtender. The bass possesses a wide variety of sounds and plays and balances extremely well. It served me extremely well in the studio last year, where I used it to record an album’s worth of tracks. ‘So why are you selling it?’, I hear you ask! Well, I’ve found that a 33” inch scale is easier on my tendons, which were badly damaged by typing-induced RSI a few years ago. The bass comes in a pristine Hiscox teardrop case with a certificate of authenticity from Overwater founder Chris May. I’m looking for GBP 2350.00 (EUR 2685.00), but I’m open to serious offers. I'm based in Amsterdam, but my parents travel over from England regularly, so they could bring the bass back with them if need be. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.
  17. Cheers! I do believe they are Kent Armstrong pickups.
  18. Price now dropped to GBP 1050. Open to serious offers. No trades. All-original 1988 Overwater Artisan bass guitar with the rare active filter circuit, which is hard to find in full working order nowadays, and offers a wide variety of sounds. It has an extremely fast, completely clean mahogany neck (no breaks) with an ebony fretboard, and comes with a heavy-duty flightcase. The bass is currently with my parents in Crewe, England. NB: I also have a 2015 Overwater Original Series five-string up for sale: https://www.basschat.co.uk/topic/324506-overwater-original-series-custom-five-string-2015-no-trades/
