1. Good to know ;-) There's also a white scratchplate on its way to me from the States as we speak :-)
Thanks, Kees! Worth thinking about then.
2. Hi, Jogi. It weights 4.5kg. Like I said, it's well balanced, so it doesn't feel heavy (I'm 1.78m and slightly built). The other SR5's in the shop were all heavier, and some had neck dive. This one was the best of the lot!
Brilliant, thank you!
3. Hi, Jogi. Of course. I'll weigh it when I get in later this evening.
Hi Kees, can you please tell me the weight of this bass? Groetjes, Jogi
4. The bass is now back with me in Amsterdam.
 5. You're welcome.
Many thanks 🤔
6. 18mm at the bridge and 43mm at the nut.
What's the string spacing and nut width on this model please?
8.
That's a really cool looking SR5 You don't see many with this pickup configuration which is nice
Thanks, Chris! I really like the way the single coil softens the attack when I need it to. The different settings offer a wide variety of tones, and when soloed, the bridge pickup is still 100% classic StingRay! This is also about the best-balanced StingRay 5 I've played. I had several over the years: some too light (with neckdive), some waaay too heavy, but this one is spot on, in my opinion.
 9. Very sorry about that, Paul. I'll have a look this evening. Any suggestions for a better site?
 10. I picked this bass up two years ago and used it for several months as my main practice instrument. It's fairly lightweight and balances and plays extremely well. For the rest, it's in all-original condition, with only a few minor dings. It comes in an old Tolex case (see photos). I'm looking for a straight sale (no trades). I'm based in Amsterdam. 11. I've decided to part with my Music Man StingRay 5 HS, which I purchased at the end of March 2017. Consequently, it's in brand-new condition; there's not a mark on it! The bass plays and balances well, sounds great, and is lightweight (4.5kg). However, I've decided to move on several instruments to fund a custom build (sorry, no trades), and this one isn't likely to be used extensively in the short term. When I bought it, the bass had a tortoiseshell scratchplate (see photos), which wasn't to my liking. I managed to source a black scratchplate through Strings and Things, along with the matching black screws. Both scratchplates and the extra set of screws are included. So, if you want to save a few hundred quid on a brand-new StingRay 5 with OHSC, this one could be just the ticket! I'm based in Amsterdam, but travel over to England once a month. 12. I'm considering parting with my 2015 Original Series five-string, as I currently have my eye on something else. (Sorry, no trades.) The bass is has a 34" scale and 17mm string spacing. It is both lightweight and well-balanced, and also extremely playable. The John East circuit provides a vast range of sounds, thanks to its mid sweep and adjustable bass and treble frequencies. In the two years since it was built, the bass has been out of the case only a handful of times, so it's in brand-new condition. If you're interested or have any questions, feel free to ask here or send me a PM. For photos, see here: http://s1345.photobu...s%20five-string I'm based in Amsterdam, but travel over to England once a month.
