  1. I have ties to Southampton, that's the closest I would normally be to you, but no immediate plans I'm afraid 😟
  2. guitarbuild.co.uk Jazz bass body plus scratch plate. Body is 1960s spec 3PC Alder. - £100 Scratchplate is also from guitarbuild.co.uk, 3 ply tort. - £20 Both haven't left the original packaging except for the photos. I had intended on building a nice 1960s replica jazz bass however life got in the way! Can ship at buyers expense.
  3. Light home usage, this has been my practice amp for the past few years. In great cosmetic condition and full working order. I had contemplated putting the amp in storage while I relocate but realistically, I don't know how long I'll be gone and would much rather it was being used! Ampeg PF-20T - £350 - SOLD Ampeg PF-112HLF - £200 Happy to listen to offers for both together, I'll include a Ernie Ball speaker jack (not pictured) with the head. I would rather not ship due to the delicateness of the values however happy to have a discussion about it. Collection or reasonable meetup from West Yorkshire much preferred!
  4. Little Mark III £250 In full working order but not in great condition. It's in the same condition as I bought it nearly 6 years ago on ebay, I purchased as a backup for my LMTube. I've only used it a handful of times. The pictures capture the cosmetic scratches. At some point, the fan has been replaced and not all of the screws have been replaced. I've factored this into the asking price. I've used a laptop case (not pictured) to transport the amp which I will include. STD 104 HF - 8ohm £250 In full working order and in great cosmetic condition. Comes with Roqsolid cover. Got the cab from BassChat at the beginning of 2020, I intended it to be my main gigging cab .... less we say about the last 2 years the better! It's been sat gathering dust since. I can ship the LMIII at the buyers expense however I'm unsure about the cab due to weight and size. I would much prefer collection or meetup at a reasonable distance from West Yorkshire. Happy to listen to offers for both.
  5. Everyone has a bass they will always regret selling. I had one of these, same year, in blue. Amazing instrument. Shame I was a poor, unemployed recently graduated young man, it had to go 😭. That said, I'm now full time employed and I still don't have the disposable income haha somethings never change! GLWTS
  6. Just a few shots of some I've been working on .... Belated Christmas presents. Also got a diamond compressor clone on the go as well
  7. And on the off chance 1 is not enough, I have a another which also needs a new home!
  8. Couldn't agree more but there may be a hint of bias! PMs responded.
  9. As a product manager for a pro audio company. I would read that as: "It's a feature we have considered and would like to add to our roadmap. We are unable to commit to a development slot at this time" Although the response came from a marketing manager so all bets are off! Would love to see an unlined fretless V5. Would be a beauty. Sire will be reading this thread, no need to email them!
  10. I find it hard to believe that no one at sire had the idea for an unlined fretless! I've had a number of unlined fretless basses before but have since accepted my lack of talent and remain in the lined camp for now. Which is fortunate as I am a massive sire fan!
  11. Happy to listen to offers. Travelling between Yorkshire and the South Coast a few times over the next couple of weeks. Happy to arrange drop off/meet up en route.
  12. Could be tempted by a partial or full trade for small practice amp for the living room! Combo or head/cab. 1x10, 1x12, 2x8, 4x6 etc.
  13. Not sure I get the reference, but thanks for reading anyways! 😀
  14. Good spot. Typo corrected, thanks.
  15. P5 is pretty high on my list of basses I wanna try. Got a V5 and it's one of the nicest basses I've played.
  16. It was moved to the traditional P position as I find that the P position on a jazz lends itself to the tone of the P being too boomy or bass heavy where as moving it slightly towards the bridge brings out that P bass low mid grunt that I know and love. I'll be perfectly honest, the difference is subtle however I have found myself adjusting the EQ to the room a lot less since the change. I recorded some audition pieces for a covers band recently. These are with the P pick up solo'd. To be honest, I find myself seriously questioning whether I should donate a kidney rather than sell this!
  17. The pickups are active, as is the preamp. They are both wired from the same 18v power rail (supplied by 2 x 9v batteries. Pick ups are The EMG PJ Set: https://www.thomann.de/gb/emg_pj_pickup_set.htm In order to fit the solderless EMG system to the solderless John East preamp, the two way molex connectors were removed from the EMG loom. The cables were then stripped and tinned before being installed into the screw terminals on the john east. Non of the other EMG components are included as I sold them separately as spares. The Pickguard has been changed from the original. The one that is currently fitted moves the P pickup closer to the bridge into the traditional location for a precision pickup. The holes and the original pickup route have not been filled in, they remain in place under the pickguard. I had the work completed by the highly respected Jon Shuker: https://shukerguitars.co.uk/ Hope this helps.
  18. Yes it is solderless! Screw terminals, very straight forward.
  19. Generic, I've bought the wife a bathroom suite and now I'm skint bump. May take a cheapish P bass in part ex!
  20. Is this a v7 vintage? 70s pick up spacing?
