1. Oh yeah
2. Here you go then, Musicman Stingray, was my main bass since Dec 1999 till I started with the 5 string earlier this year - I love it so much that I tried to track down a 5 string in this colour on this forum, but the owner understandably didn't want to part with it... I still want one though. Feel free to offer it to me if you sell one anyone
3. Haha, I'm back in the studio tomorrow, see what I can do for you
4. Also an 8 week wait here, but yeah, its worth it I reckon
5. You can usually pick up peavey heads and cabs dirt cheap, built to survive anything from my experience, and can get pretty loud. To give you an idea, I sold a peavey session bass head on here for £100 not long back, and I saw a thread recently with someone getting a peavey 1x15 cab of eBay for about £40!
6. If they had a maple neck of the asat-alike, I would probably give one a punt.
7. Haha, they are bloody loud Gotta ask again, why do they use a sticker for the orange picture logo? Cheapskates!
8.
Thanks for the offer, but I would like to keep the original bridge in the sale.
Sorry, I meant the hipshot...
9. Lemme know if theres any chance of splitting and selling me the bridge separate cheers.
10. Just got this in a trade with Jamie (Bassintheface) just over two weeks ago, and am only putting it up for sale again as I have serious Matamp GAS! I am hoping to get the cash elsewhere and will be able to keep hold of this. So, lovely Gibson SG bass, 2009 model, bought from new by in March 2010, Short scale, Rosewood fingerboard, Worn Ebony (Matt Black), comes with Gibson hard case. Small area where the paint has worn off near the pickup, but if you are like me, I think the beauty of this bass will be as the finish wears off to be honest. Some pics - I'm after £500 ono picked up from Manchester. Thanks for looking, Si.
11. Bloody brilliant, I wish I knew more about your effects, and how to use them
12. Just been thinking about how much I do like my gear, so am I stupid to be thinking of selling up any amps to give in to Matamp GAS??
13. I've decided I might try to shift some gear to afford to get a Matamp built! So... Here is my Ampeg SVT-3 Pro, in great condition, only one thing of note is that one slider is missing, can be seen in pic, 4th from the right on the EQ. Comes in a nice shallow 3u sleeved rack case, so it pretty much indestructible in there. Also comes with a Korg DTR-1 Rack Tuner filling the last gap in the rack case Not in too much of a rush to shift this as I still need to find all the rest of the money before I can get the Matamp ordered. Looking for £600 ono for the whole lot ideally. Not looking to split, as as long as I have the Ampeg, I wanna keep the tuner with it, looks tidy Some pics - Thanks for looking folks. Si.
14. Bosh! And it's gone to a nice new home! Cheers Tony, nice to meet you mate
15. That's a lovely story bill, thanks
16.
I'll have one of them with sprinkles, please!
it's bloody lovely, I isn't think anything would peel me away from my Musicman Stingray of almost 12yrs, but this has. Still couldn't do without the Stingray though. Gonna take pics of that soon.
17. I've been thinking about this all day now, and have some great ideas, just need the cash to match
18. Might just sell this cheap since I've now decided to flog a hell of a lot of stuff to save towards a matamp.
19. Right, a little road trip and a chat to jeff are in order soon
20.
Still need your amp specifics, as which you'll use makes a big difference.
Really? How come? Surely speakers for a cab are speakers for a cab, according to the cabs dimensions, regardless of what amp you use? Excuse me if I'm being thick thinking that... I just don't get it, cos what I use now, may not be what I always use, and I don't plan on changing speakers out to swap amps... Anyway, my current amps are in my sig - Ampeg SVT-3pro, Sound City b120 mk4 and an Orange Terror Bass 500. I'm sure there will be others in the future... Thanks for helping.
21. I'm so close to flogging all my stuff an ordering a Gt200! Do they still do the face plates that light up? I have something custom I would like to be on the face plate and light up God, I need to save and sell...
22. Had this less than 2 months, just doesn't ring my bell like I thought it would, but plenty of you swear by it! Bought off bassybill from his thread here - http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...&hl=Sansamp Boxed, instructions, new battery, absolute top condition... I'm after what I paid as I have only used it once at home and decided I can do without. So its up for £100 picked up from Manchester. I'm a do business face to face kinda chap Cheers, Si.
23. A better pic of my little corner -
24. My Fender 2010 American deluxe jazz bass V (natural) I bloody love 70's style and block inlay and binding
25. Right, finally got the measurements, so please, if anyone with the magic can help? the cab is the same space for both speakers, the space is - 42cms High 63cms Wide 33cms Deep It has a round hole at the front of each section with a diameter of 12.5cms The shelf that divides the sections has 2 rectangular holes, 17.5cms by 12.5cms Here is a picture of the cab - SO can anyone with whatever computer programs or brilliant knowledge please tell me which bass speakers to buy to replace these? Original spec still applies, each speaker would ideally be Neodymium, minimum of 250 watts, and 8 ohms per speaker. Thanks!
