1. If you are willing to split id be interested in the 210? Then its just the head to go
2. Hi mate, Is this still available? Any idea how much shipping would cost to liverpool? Thanks Steve
3. Bump + New Price Price drop to £300 the lot for quick sale before e-bay.
4. I am selling this rig as it is too big for my current needs and really, i could do with the money. Its a solid piece of kit and has never let me down. Im prepared to sell the bits seperatly as i know alot of people out there would probably prefer a x2 10" to marry with one of the 15"s. The Max 450 gives 450 watts of power. It has various effects and functions on it. One speaker is a Peavey Black Widow 700w, a couple of years old. And the other is a brand new Behringer, still in its box with all original stuff, only been played once. So its £400 for the lot or £200 for the head only and £100 each for the speakers. I am open to sensible offers. This will be on e-bay soon but wanted to offer it here first. If you have any questions relating to it you can call me on 07948400418 any time or e-mail me at [email protected].
5. Hi Nick, Ive been looking for a teacher with your ethos for a while. Lancaster might be a bit far to travel though. Whats you phone number so i can give you a call and have a wee chat? PM me if you dont want to broadcast it to everyone and anyone. Steve (Liverpool)
6. Im interested but in liverpool. Any suggestions? steve
7. Bought this a couple of months back, second hand. Used it for one gig and 2 practices then stupidly replaced it with a Behringer. Now both are surpless to requirments as im trying to get a Hartke 4.5xl. So in a sense both are for sale. The Peavey works great with my 450w Peavey head (but little info is known apart from that im afraid). The Behringer was bought new, still has box and booklets. Its 300w 15" with custom horn tweeter. Im looking for £150 for the Peavey (although sensible offers will be considered) And £100 for the Behringer. I know theres not much info here, its been a long day at work. When i get home ill gather some more info and add to this in the morning. Pictures available on request. Both will be going on e-bay next but thought id see if anyone on here wanted them first, you've gotta look out for your own kind haven't ya! Steve

9. What does 50p a mag add up to then? I'd be interested, so either of you sellers can get back to me.
10. Im very interested in this. Not sure about the travel and pick up though. I reckon i could make a weekend sebatical down to the big smoke though, at that price it might be worth it. Whereabouts in london you based? Would you consider a meet in the middle at a service station somewhere on the M6/M1? Let me know.
11.
Bump
Hey man, Im interested in this, the price is a little steeper than i was wanting to pay though. Im based in liverpool so meeting up wouldnt be a problem. When would you be wanting to sell it? PM me if there is room for negotiations on the price. steve

14. Hi guys, Found a few stupidly cheap basses on e-bay from this company rhino 88. I've never heard of them but for £70 for a brand new bass i had to see if anyone here had any experience or knowledge about them cos it might be worth buying one just to smash up at the end of a gig (providing its good enough to last the gig and sound ok). Anyway, answers on a post card like usual. P.s... The link to what i found is as follows: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Electric-Bass-Gu...1QQcmdZViewItem
15. Its nice to see a few Manchester bands (Gomez, Stone Roses) inspiring the bass players of today. They certainly helped me along the way. My first line was Otherside by The Chilli's, played on a Squire by Fender bought for £50 off my mate who needed rent money. I then persevered with the whole of the Californication album (not a good idea really) which took ages and sounded terrible for a while (seeing as i'd only just picked up the bass).
16. Anyone from liverpool might know of pete wylie of the might wah fame from the 80's. did a gig over the summer at the matthew street festival and the band got asked to play support for him at a small venue in town a few weeks later. his bassist was martin crawford/ crawly (not too sure what his second name is) who was with the verve during their brief encounter with fame.
17. Hi pal, ive got a mate whos a drummer and a singer which you might be interested in. he's at l'pool near princess park (round croxteth road a bit past sefton park) let me know if your interested and ill set you guys up on a date haha
18. Thanks for the help guys. The behrenger is on its way back to the shop to gather some more dust. Unfortunately the peavey head stopped working last night at practice so thats gotta go back for repairs now. Oh well, thats what you get for cutting costs and going second hand i guess.
19. Hello guys and girls, heres one for you to keep you busy arguing amongst yourselves. I recently upgraded my stack and bought a second hand peavey max 450 head for a steal of a price. It came with a peavey 15" black widow speaker b115, which after some research appears to be 700w. After having a practice with it with the band i was dissappointed by the volume and how the speaker appears to max out volume wise when the amps volume control is only at 5 (out of 10). I decided to try a different cab and so bought a behrenger 600w cab with a tweeter, hoping this would give more power as it was new (i had decided the peavey cab must be faulty as it looks about 10 yrs old). Again after a practice it appears to be equally poor in volume and max's out at the same point (its perhaps a teeny tiny bit loader than the peavey). So my qustion is two fold: a) is there something im doing wrong which is making my stack seem so quiet? in your opinions which of the two cabs should i keep and which should i send packing? answers on a post card please
20. Lookin for someone who can help me move on a little. Ive been playing around 3 or 4 yrs since uni and played in several bands froma blues band, punk band, meatal band and 70's rock and roll band. My technique is clearly rubbish as my fingures give away tell tale signs of where i hold the strings ( not where i should be). Also i want some tips on slap/ pop. I play a 5 string and the string spacing makes it fairly difficult and a challenge to say the least (especially as i dont really know what im doing and have never been shown). If you think you can help and live anywhere in merseyside please let me know. ta and ta ra steve
21. hey man, im just as bad with theory too, but yes, the D is the 3rd fret on the B and the C is fret 1 so that makes fret 4 a D# and fret 2 an C#. hope this helps. also,...just for a bit more assistance, two strings up and two frets up is an octive up. so if you wanna slap a D and pop a higher D use fret 3 on the B and fret 5 on the A. this should make it easier to work out what notes are where too! ste
22. I started playing 5 string about 2 years ago. The first things i learnt were poppy metal like korn and staind just to get a feel for the weight on the B. They helped with slapping and moving around fatter neck. They are fairly simple songs, but the rythem and timing is quite fun. I would say freak on a leash by korn and its been a while by stained are nice to ease into. I then started looking at incubus who have some great bass lines for 5 strings, certain shade of green (i think) uses a b. Apart from that just make your own stuff up, theres a great range for funky slaps and pops with the extra string.
