I see there's been a PM sent. Is the pedal still for sale?
-
Not that I can afford one right now but I'll have a '69 jazz in LPB if someone's feeling flush!
-
Ooooh incredibly tempted! Will examine finances and PM if appropriate!
-
Another vote for the Diago Powerstation - small, lightweight, noiseless, relatively inexpensive and, according to the manufacturer blurb, can power up to 30 pedals of all shapes & sizes.
Got one recently and wondered how I managed without it! -
Here's another vote for the TU-2/3. There's one from May in the Effects for sale section

No indication it's been sold and only £45 -
Yeah I'm in the market for another P bass so I'd also like to see some pics
-
Just read through looking for a price and discovered it's now sold! Any chance you can edit the header to tell people it's sold, cheers
-
Still for sale and does the £80 include p+p or is that extra?
Ta! -
Aaargh! It's gorgeous and want it but why do people insist on putting things I want up for sale when I don't have the funds? It's dreadfully inconsiderate!
Have a bump on me anyway! -
Well it definitely looks better than his previous offering.
You should check his 'Other Items' for a bit of a hoot; he has a plectrum cut from a brass Sabian cymbal which will totally wreck your strings I'd imagine, an old wardrobe/drawer key (?) which is 'A must for any collector' apparently and oddest of all, "Plans on how to build your own penis enlarger"!
Although if you do fancy a sly bid on aforementioned 'penis enlarger plans' rest assured, he promises discretion! -

Never tried it, but I imagine anything by Leonard Cohen?
We have two Cohen tracks in our set - 'Ain't no cure for Love' and 'Tower of Song'. Not really 'dancey' tracks but they always go down well!
'Superstition' by Stevie Wonder and 'Standing on the Verge of Getting It On' by Funkadelic, on the other hand... Well, needless to say we dropped those two. No pleasing some audiences! -

Work on getting ONE note to groove, use space and accent to make that one note groove. Set up the simplest, mid tempo, Boom Tish Boom Tish drum pattern, see if you can make that one note groove. When you can, and you're getting excited by it, do something with that one note that stops it grooving. Switch between the two and try to work out what it is that causes that those feelings. Then add little things to your grooves, build it slowly. Feel it.

Good god that truly is a thing of beauty!

Hi Kiwi Jaz, if you're looking for a decent pint you might want to check out the Golden Rule in Polwarth. They keep an immaculate cellar and have live bands on Thursdays
(No, I'm not an employee or affiliated in any way, I just love that bar! ) -
I have a few basses I can choose from (see my sig) so it all depends on what band I'm playing with.
The Misty Moon & The Hep Cats get either the Squier VM fretless or my '89 custom Larkin fretless, Deluded Buddhas get my Larkin fretless and Son of Six get my US '75RI jazz. -
*sigh*
Another Super Synth that I don't have the money for! Why does no-one sell these when I have funds! Gaaaah!
Never mind - have a synth-based 'bump' on me! -
Excellent! I just invested in an ebow for my fretless and was thinking about adding some reverb so I'll certainly be keeping an eye on this thread!

Another One Bites The Bust etc...

Hmmm, not familiar with that one I'm afraid! -
1. Jazz
2. Precision
3. Stingray
Am I right? Do I win a prize? -
I see you mentioned the MXR Bass Fuzz Deluxe. I tried one out and wasn't that impressed to be honest so I opted for the El Grande instead. Plenty of usable tones, relatively easy to come by second hand, dead simple to use and with the internally adjustable 'Deep' switch you can add plenty of bottom too.
-
Received the ebow yesterday and spent hours with it trying it with different basses and different combinations of pedals getting some fantastic sounds.
I honestly have no idea why I didn't invest in one earlier! I have one word (and a few 'plus' signs) to describe this little plastic wonder:
+++AWESOME+++
Many thanks Phil! -
Just received Phil's ebow. Great communications from Phil, ebow was clean & tidy and as described, well packaged and great price too.
Cheers mate! -
I too went down the 'modular' route that Sibob mentioned; I use octaver, fuzz, overdrive, envelope filter & wah in various combinations to create some really nice synthy effects.

Didn't Trace Elliot use 15" Fanes in the good old days? My old MKV Trace 1518 cab certainly has a (now sadly blown) 15" Fane driver. Got a great sound from it too! Was planning to replace it with a Fane Axiom but never got round to it. I just use my 4x10 now.
