1.
They're excellent. I've had a four and five string and regret selling both! The necks on the four strings are chunky. The five string is, I think, narrower spacing and felt similar to a five string stingray to me.
Interesting.... I don't have a problem with wide fretboards, but I'm quite interested in what the depth is like front to back, and whether the neck profile flattens out a bit in the middle or is quite round.
2. Very tempted to get one of these at the moment, but I'm unable to try it first. I've played the 4 string before, and felt the neck was a bit chunky, but I've never played a 5. Just wondered if anyone had an opinion about these, and if anyone can tell me about the neck or compare it to anything else? Thanks.

One of my dream basses wish I had some money Have a bump on me!
4. About the best bass you can get at this price point IMO. Unbelievably good for the money, with a real quality feel and sound.

Sold!

Despite my feelings about the necks on these (I have only tried the 4's mind you), I keep finding myself looking at this bass..... I'm gagging for an ash bodied 5er with a maple board. Shame I can't tempt you with my lovely greenburst Sandberg, or we could well have a trade going on.......
6.
My offer is still open
Thanks for the offer, but I'm really not after an acoustic.
7. Up to the top! Still quite a lot of interest, but both still available at present!
8. Damnit....... Been playing them both at home tonight, and I'm really tempted to keep them.... I might possibly consider a trade for a nice 5-string if anyone's got anything they want to offer up.... Ain't GAS a b'tard!
9. Bump! C'mon folks, these need to go asap! Make me an offer! Here's a demo of a Basic by Session Music, although the guy seems to favour the more "scooped" sort of sounds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXYg27suUoE
10. A bit of a shameless plug, but what about a Sandberg Basic? Handbuilt in Germany, cost £1100 new.... I could probably do you a good deal on the Greenburst one....... http://basschat.co.uk/topic/174277-fs-two-awesome-sandberg-basics/
11. Bump. Make me an offer!
12.
It's just the lid that's messed up. If I could find somewhere to buy it I would consider it as I'm skint.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-9-volt-battery-box-compartment-flat-mounted-/130616142286?pt=UK_Guitar_Accessories&var=&hash=item1e695429ce#ht_730wt_1106 This is where I got one a little while ago. You won't find just the lid, you'll have to replace the whole lot.
13.
Went to PMT today great staff there. Really great shop. Anyway I tried the sandberg basic and they are really nice. Very easy to play and great tone. Lots of tones available and natural sounding. Punch too. The setup was perfect and it was pretty effortless to play. £1100 too. Good luck with the sale whoever gets these will be very happy I'm sure.
Thanks man, they are awesome, and if I had enough cash I would keep them! Got some bad GAS goin on though.....
14. TRB's are great, but I would have thought that the Pro's choice would be either a Ken Smith or Roscoe.

Sold!

Wish I liked the necks, cos they look and sound gorgeous.....
16. Roll up, roll up! Loads of interest but no offers so far. Come on people, don't be shy! I'll do a deal if you want to buy both from me, and if anyone buys one of them tonight I'll throw in a set of D'addario EXP coated strings .045 - .105!!!

I have to say, despite being lovely basses, the necks on these feel massive and cumbersome to me. Everybody's different though, and I know there's loads of people who love 'em. Good luck with the sale!
18. I really can't get enough of this album! I think Francis Hylton is my new bass hero! I've got a couple of other Incognito albums, but this one really stands out, and there's some outstanding vocal performances. The vocal on "Above the night" sends a shiver up my spine every time (ESPECIALLY the vocal lick around 3:22-3:25). Wish I could play like Francis Hylton........
