1. Have you seen these kits, I think they look very cool? I could be very tempted to build one. https://www.trinityamps.com/product/trinity-trip-top-kit/
2. Not sure if this qualifies as a GB but this is my Lowden built Goodfellow Classic 5. Sounds and plays wonderfully.
3. Hello bassists I’m John, I live in Co. Antrim Northern Ireland. I’ve actually been a member here since 2011 but haven’t posted much but I’m enjoying playing again and thought I’d check in. Having played in a couple of bands many years ago I am now happy just being a bedroom warrior. I have two basses, an Ibanez SR1300 and a Lowden built Goodfellow Classic 5 string. Amp is a Galen Krueger MB210 combo which is total overkill for my needs but I love the sound and features, definitely prefer it to my previous Mark Bass JB players combo. I have a serious GAS for a short scale and have been checking out the classifieds 😁 Looking forward to reading some threads. Couple of photos
4. P.S. How do you edit the title to say SOLD ??
5. Streamer now in the safe hands of the SpaceCowboy! Wishing him many years of happy playing with her. AND to finish on another happy note after being on the brink of giving up seems I found my mojo again. Funny enough it was in the roofspace, in the case of my trusty old passive 4 string all along.... Circles, eh!
6. SORRY, DECIDED TO KEEP THIS! Hi Yamaha BB605 5 string for sale. Wine red burst. Asking £250. Here's the specs from the Yamaha website: This BB Series 5-string model features a built-in NE1 Parametric EQ and the BBNE2 Nathan East style body silhouette. ・Nathan East Sculpted Body Design ・Solid Alder Body ・5-String Maple Neck ・Rosewood Fingerboard ・24 Frets ・Single Coil Pickups ・Nathan East NE-1 Parametric EQ ・Diecast Chrome Tuners/Hardware ・Black, Natural, Wine Red Finishes ・Limited Lifetime Warranty Neck width about 45mm at the nut and 75mm at the last fret. 18mm string spacing. According to my bathroom scales somewhere around 9 - 9.5 lb weight. I know they all say this, but this is a super bass for the money. Woods are very good quality as is the hardware and fit and finish. I think these basses have a great reputation and rightly so. The action is set quite low, I feel it's just in it's sweet spot, any lower and you loose tone. Plays superb from top to botttom fret effortlessly. Typical Yamaha modern sound, with the option of switching in the paremetric EQ knob which can give some old school thump to the sound. B string sounds great. Not waffly, muddy low notes. It is in super condition with only light swirling of the laquer to mention. Strung with Warwick Red Label 45-135 with little playing on them. Comes with a ritter gig bag in good condition. Photographing this was a nightmare, but trust me it's in good nick. The white dota are not really there , it's just the light. Have a look on the web for some better typical photos! Bass is in Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland (Still UK!!) Not a problem if you want to arrange courier collection. No trades please. Thanks. Found this one on the web, it looks the same. 7. Sold subject to payment. Also have a wine red Yamaha BB605 to sell, will take some photos and start a new thread later hopefully.
8. Just bought this the other day here on basschat. This was a swan song for me, a last gasp but even after getting my dream bass I realise that playing bass is just not for me. So here it is for sale.... Original sale thread is HERE with lots of pictures. Hope I got that link right. This is a 2003 bass and has been played. As you can see the gold on the hardware has worn and there are a some small marks on the back but is in good overall condition as is the case and sounds superb. I'd like to recover my costs on this, I paid £1295 inc. postage, but for a quick sale I'll take £1200, no offers, postage at your own expense or collection in person welcome. Bass is in Co. Antrim Northern Ireland (SILL UK!!). Any questions just ask. Thanks John
