Warwick have a new amp range, that looks very interesting.
This appears to be the flagship...

GK to finally release an updated RB series.
Here you go!

It's not very compact, and it's VERY ugly IMHO, however it's a proper proper amp, Class H apparently?-

And that's the cost saving bit of Sire. Quality of the wooden bits - good. Hardware (on base models) is always a bit lackluster.
Will say that that photo looks like a render, which can make angles and proportions look odd.
Looking forward to seeing all the various releases that I have no intention of buying! 😆The last round of Sire releases, they soft launched first, and then made some tweaks based on user and industry feedback, before you could order them.
They might change the headless hardware to reduce, or maybe even eliminate that overhang, maybe...-

A new Class D version, yes. But there have been rumours for quite some time about something a bit more traditional.
Oh, very cool!
If they could make a more compact chassis, but keep an old school power stage, that would be marvellous!I have a Legacy, and I actually like it a lot, since getting the right cab for it, but I do yearn for some old school power goodness, although, my back does not.
Having grown up playing through the 90s and 00s, I miss the comparatively effortless power that we took for granted back then, from properly powerful old school solid state units, Trace and Peavey in my case.Class D is OK, but what we had before was better, way better actually, just bigger and heavier.
Whoever can really crack the proper power stage in a small box puzzle can have my money!

That is magnificent!
I've well and truly gone way down the custom rabbit hole to be all that interested in a lot of other basses these days, but I will always have a thing for Warwicks, and that is a super fine example, congratulations!(also very much looking forward to seeing this new Shuker of yours when it lands!)
Cheers,

So now I don't know whose strings to buy! Any ideas?
I would give Newtone Strings a go.
They will happily make you a taper wound or even exposed core set to your liking.
Their Nickel Hex Core strings are like a slightly more edgy DR SunBeam.
They're made in the UK, last ages and are way cheaper than they should be!
Lovely bass by the way.
I think I had a copy of Guitarist featuring the review too!

I just got one - and it's a nice-sounding unit. The only thing is I cannot figure out how to get the expression pedal going to something other than volume. The selection knob advances numbers corresponding to its built-in uses, but only volume works. The indicator (ON) Light does not turn on either. Seems like a glitch, since others have not figured it out either in my poking around forums.
I found that you need to really mean it when you engage the expression pedal, press hard on the top of it, and it should work.
I was using mine sat down for the first two times I used it and thought mine wasn't working too, standing over it and pressing a little harder made it engage just fine.
Hope the above helps!

OK so ignore the playing as i was fiddling with the controls more than worrying about the notes!
Thank you buddy!
That's a great demo, and the pedal seems to retain a proper low end throughout, something that a lot of filters fall short on.
Is it too late to add it to my Xmas List?...

I see @Merton is spending other people's money again.😁
He played a part in me getting my Monza too, which still knocks my socks off every time I use it, as he tried one at a BassBash a little while back, the one when he convinced you to buy that Trace amp.
You think, at the very least he would chip in!

So I tried and failed to get my audio interface working. But don't give up hope. Anything is possible in an infinite universe.
Is it just me, or for an occasional user at least, are interfaces not one of the most frustrating pieces of kit available?!
It's never ever just a case or plugging in and going.

I am not 100 percent to grips with all the controls yet. However I got a great sound from it. I can record clips if you like
That would be bloody marvellous!

Very nice!
I see you have the Tron III clone?
How's that? I'm still in search for a right envelope filter, that won't break the bank, and plays nicely with active basses.I REALLY like the sound of the Aguilar Filter Twin, but it's too spendy, and obviously, all the decent proper Mu Tron stuff is hard to find.
How does Tron III perform?

I use a Nux Mighty Plug most of the time, but when I need a bit more, without making more noise, I have my Boss ME-90B multi effects, or, when using my BIG board, I popped a Mooer Audiofile on there, which has a headphone amp and a cab sim, which lets me use the whole board without making too much noise.

Sadly just another Class D amp, with an unnecessary Drive circuit.
I think I speak for a lot of us bassists in that, if we want drive, we already have pedals that do that for us.
I can't ever recall hearing a drive circuit built into an amp even come close to a well considered pedal for the same thing.
Why do these guys keep doing this?!
Surely it would make more sense to build in a decent compressor, or maybe a blend for the effects loop, something more useful...
