3.
Sure, no problem Damian. In it's simplest form, you plug the Split-P pickup output into the 'normal' input of the EBS pedal. Then plug the woofer pickup output into the 'clean loop' with a standard cable. What happens when you do this is the 'clean' volume on the pedal only comes from the woofer pickup, and the drive channel controls are only fed from the split-P pickup. You can then control the balance between the 2 signals with each volume knob on the pedal (and/or the bass if you like). I also like to roll the tone completely off on the woofer pickup, this helps even more with the frequency separation. There's a great youtube video by Erik Arko (another great contributor to the attiude FB page) which shows the acheived sound with this setup really well. Here: https://www.youtube....h?v=OaMxy46fZxU Enjoy! This will work with either of the EBS Billy Sheehan pedals. EDIT: For my own personal setup (deluxe model pedal), I also have an octaver in-between the woofer pup output and the clean loop, for occasional use. I have the drive all the way down, and the tone at about 10 o'clock. Then use the 'boost' button for extra drive as necessary. Boost internal trim pot set to max. Phase switch set to normal and compressor set to high.
Cheers Lewis, much appreciated. I'll have a go at this set up over the next week or so.
4.
Yeah Jon Willis is a very cool guy, always posting some new way to connect certain things up to acheive tonal heaven! I can whole heartidly recommend the EBS Sheehan pedals, I've had both versions and currently use the deluxe model. Rigged up using both outputs, it's the best sound I've ever had, by a country mile.
Hi, would you mind explaining your pedal set up? I've seen the Jon Willis set up, do you use any other pedals into the EBS? Thanks, Damian
5. From googling some pics and the eye fret inlays it looks a bit like a Rudy Sarzo Aria sig model. I'm no expert though.
6. Any chance of some more pics please?
7. I haven't tried both together but if I get time in the next few days I'll give it a go and let you know how it went, presuming the house is still standing afterwards.
8. I've always loved this bassline, relatively simple but beautiful all the same. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTHjFeXmnHs
9.
Edwards has a credit on 'Without You'.
I was going by what I'd read in Nile Rodgers' book, plus from a quick Google, Bowie is listed as sole writer, could be duff info of course. * edit, you mean a credit as in played on it credit, my mistake
10. I think it might have been a charted, written piece by Nile Rogers. From the way he talks about the Lets Dance album in his autobiography, Rojas (for whatever reason) couldn't play a line for one of the songs so Rogers got Bernard Edwards in to play it from a pre-written chart. Edwards nailed in it one take.
11. Bump for price drop!
12. Hi all, up for sale is my Orange SP212 Isobaric cab. Its in excellent condition and has been gigged but I've taken good care of it, no scuffs etc. and could easily pass as new. I'm only selling as I've just been Barefaced thanks to Machinehead from this very forum. The rubber on the handle shows some wear but the handle itself is still intact and in working order. There isn't a mark on the cab. Comes with a roqsolid cover. Sale only thanks. [s]£350 plus £20.00 postage as I'm in Northern Ireland.[/s] Sold.

13. Bump for 'all my money went on GAS for something else and I can't buy this bass'.
14. I hope this makes sense, it uses the I ii iii IV V vi vii Say you have a tune in A major, but that's too high for you to sing comfortably; you can "translate" it note for note and chord for chord in another key (e.g. D major): A Major Scale A B C# D E F# G# A Major Harmonisation A Bm C#m D E F#m G#m(b5) D Major Scale D E F G A B C# D Major Harmonisation D Em F#m G A Bm C#m(b5) So, each C#m chord in the key of A becomes an F#m chord in the key of D, and so on.
15. Thanks Chris, I might just stump up the 9 quid. I'll check with a few other muso types I know to see what they might have lying around.
16. Thanks for the reply, I was hoping to go the pre-wired way as I'm useless with that kid of thing, DIY it is.
17. Hi, Would any of you be able to point me to where I could buy one of these or similar that isn't ridiculously priced? I've had no luck sourcing one myself. Thanks, Damian.
