I've been toying with making some bass related t shirts on zazzle/cafepress etc, just for a laugh and to excercise my graphic design on the pc. Anyway, Kinda stuck for ideas currently! Bought a Cab off clarky. Excellent dealings and felt that he wanted to get it sorted properly (He was out of hte country at the time).

Bought a Hartke Head off Mel. So far so good and very friendly and swift to deal with. Top notch!

[/quote] I do it sometimes in rehearsal because our lead guitarist thinks its funny to do it to me at other times..... things like Molly Chambers (Kings of Leon) On the second verse the guitar plays a little riff on the octave after each line. It sounds quite cool with the bass actually! And it came in handy when we had a gig where he couldn't make it so I covered him and we just did a limited set that the rhythm could solo on....

My influences are bands like: ACDC Thin Lizzy Led Zeppelin Guns n' Roses/Velvet Revolver Whitesnake Airbourne Aerosmith Bon Jovi Gary Moore Joe Bonamassa Green Day Blink-182 The Ramones The Jam (You get the idea) I'm up for giving most things a go. (cough i'm going to be a bit of a wierdo here) but the nicest 5'er I played (in a shop mind you) was a High End Ibanez.... Bought new though! only downside with the yamaha, i broke the top nut by not filing it enough when i went for a thicker B string. Yamaha said 5 months for a replacement, so had to go get a luthier to make one....

Looks like some good recommendations above. If you are after small necks, you might consider an Ibanez too. My first bass was an Ibanez SR (Gio) , really nice thin neck, and very fast.

Just realised I have never introduced myself. Long time lurker, often found drooling over basses in the FS section.... Anyway. Stephen, from cambridge, playing bass 3 years , love doing so. First bass bought for my 21st birthday by my brother, have since gone through about 8 more basses (most ly in the last year) on a quest to find the one. My main rig though : Yamaha BB615 (my workhorse) Zoom B2.1U for a few minor adjustments and I prefer the ease of using a combo, so have a Hartke A100 as my main amp... certainly big enough for everything I do currently! Currently searching for a new workhorse , something mid market (around 500-600 quid to spend) and definately a 5er. Tempted by a 55-01 or a corvette $$, but have also been loving ibanez basses, as they seem to suit me really well!
