I much preferred that to the original version of voodoo child.

If I'm at home I'll listen through my speakers (Acoustic Energy floorstanders) or if I'm out I'll listen through my earphones (Ultimate ears UE900). Or if I'm at my dads I'll listen through his ridiculously good hifi setup which is pretty much all custom made. Sounds incredible.

It amazes me the amount of musicians who don't really seem to either listen to music or want to hear it on anything other than laptop speakers/crappy earphones.

I had a Warwick Streamer Jazzman 5 that fits perfectly into this category. I just couldn't get on with it (despite really liking Warwick basses). Bandmates even still talk about it as one of the nicest sounding basses I've owned but I just didn't like it. Annoying as when I hear someone else play them, I think they sound incredible.

Turns out I'm working till half 5 on the Saturday. Here's hoping coaches to Moffat run later!

I missed out on these when this thread was originally started (limited 5 string sets) but received a pm out the blue last week saying they have a set with my name on. Just home after a few days recording. Will get them put on the ACG for the next rehearsal/gig

Looking forward to trying them out. Some great feedback so far.

I've used the TC and it works better than the other ones I've tried but still not anywhere near as good as its pedal equivalent.

I also have a (free) app on my phone called DA Tuner which I find to be better than any clip on tuner I've ever used.

The best bass I've played was only made last year. And I've played a few old instruments. Including a 58 P-bass which was easily the worst bass I've ever played in every respect.

I'm selling one of mine just because money has became too tight to really consider keeping it

Money no object I would probably go for a Carl Thompson or a custom Dingwall Z3

I kind of like the fact that they take a few months sometimes. Gives me something new to look at over a longer period. Rather than just reading it once then that's me done.

I've never understood that phrase. I can play a lot of things that I can't hum...

...I can't really hum anything due to my ridiculously crappy voice/throat.

I usually just say I play bass. Either of the above work though.

I couldn't play that...but it does sound like ass.

I admire the ability however.

I think the Stingray with the yin-yang finish is much nicer looking than the Fodera.

It is. I have the 6.0 footswitch but the 9.0 head so you can use either
