1. Hi, First of all sorry if this is in the wrong section or not allowed but I purchased this bass a while back purely on the basis that it looked interesting! However I can't seem to find any information on it at all which makes me believe its a one off custom build by a luthier somewhere. I bring this to your attention in attempts to find out ANYTHING at all about it. It's neck through, seems to have EMG and Dimarzio? pickups, Schaller tuners and possibly an ebony fretboard. Also many knobs and switches to fiddle with. Name on the headstock is Springett Electro Magnum, sounds cool af right!? Sadly the wiring is shot and I have no idea where to start to get it fixed to see what it sounds like but any information would be greatly appreciated! https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7JgOqcNnpzhQXlPb041NDNkRFE Regards Jason
2. Price Drop Now £800 Here is my absolutely stunning Ernie Ball MusicMan Stingray 5. I acquired this bass not so long ago as my first foray into 5 strings and into MusicMan's. It's safe to say that I don't like 5 strings but I absolutely love MusicMan's. The bass itself was manufactured on January 3rd 2003, finished in Autumn Red Burst with Rosewood fretboard and shipped to Guitar Centre. The colour is a lovely sparkle and really does stand out and needs to be seen to be appreciated and from what I understand this is a rare finish. Have a look at this forum post to validate the serial number and the information above. When I received the bass the G string had been snapped and so has been replaced. If I'm brutally honest though it does need a change of strings and a good setup, I will set it up to the best of my ability but this may not be how you like it. No case sadly. 3. Hi, Whereabouts you located, can't see in your sig? Regards Jason
4. Brought a Tokai Thunderbird from Chris. He is a top fella, a pleasure to deal with and even makes a lovely coffee! More than happy to deal with him again.
5. Hi everyone, Here we have for sale my Tokai Love Rock Les Paul for sale. The guitar is in great condition as it has rarely been used. It is in a beautiful cherry sunburst colour. I don't know much about guitars more a bass man obviously but I believe it is the LS48 model. It is a joy to play has a nice action and can get some great tones from it and in all fairness is probably better than an Epi. Could probably do with a string change as well. Here is a quick run down of the specs. Solid Agathis Body Canadian Maple Set Neck Rosewood Fingerboard PAF Vintage MK4 Pick Ups 2 Volume, 2 Tone Controls 3 Way Switch As with my other thread very reluctant to post due to cost of insurance but if a genuine buyer is interested we might be able to work a deal. Looking for £200 collected from Birmingham. Thanks for looking. PS I also have an Ibanez SR500 and a Peavey Combo 115 for sale in another thread. 6. Hi everyone, Selling my beloved SR500. Sadly am no longer in a band and need the money for a car. As you know with these basses they have active EQ's and Bartolini pickups and a lovely slim neck. Probably could do with a proper setup and a change of strings. The guitar itself is in overall good condition with just a few scratches of paintwork that I have filled in with a touch up pen, you can see this in the pictures. Reluctant to send this via courier due to cost of insurance but if a genuine buyer is interested we can maybe come to some arrangement. Asking for £300 and collection would be available from Birmingham. Thanks for looking. PS Also got a Tokai Love Rock and Peavey Combo 115 amplifier for sale
7. Got here a Line 6 Bass Pod XT Live in good condition. Brought it thinking maybe effects are the way to go but for me I just need a bass and an amp and I'm happy! There is one of the plastic knobs missing from the select pots but doesn't affect the performance and I'm sure you can pick these up for a few pennies. These beasts are really well built and it certainly seems better built than my brother's GT10 and is just as well reviewed. I can post if required but much prefer cash on collection from Birmingham. Shall we say £160?
8.
Just put brand new strings on this and its playing quite nice. Its a budget bass but has that punchy MM sound and a responsive EQ - you turn the knob it actually changes your sound unlike some other budget basses. Comes in a fitted hard case which is pretty nice. Pic's to follow later today! After £150 for the lot - P+P should be reasonable. Some guys on the forum have tried these and their quality belies the budget price. If you wanna dabble in 5 stringing this is the perfect bass to take the plunge with. Nice feeling neck, low action and good punchy tone. Cheers
Can't wait to see the pics. Been thinking about moving onto a 5 string and this could well be it!
9. Mike brought a Boss BR-8 from me Quick payment, excellent comms, honest and pleasant buyer. Hope to deal with again some time! Thanks Jason
10. Hi all I'm currently looking for a Hondo II Rickenbacker bass copy but would like a second opinion on these. Basically can you tell me anything and everything about these. The one I'm looking atm has stereo output and he believes it is a solid body but I heard the Hondos were ply, whos right, how do they sound, build quality, feel, and how much would you pay for one of these? Thanks in advance Jason
