  1. Guitarist uses a Les Paul tho but agree most rock guitarists from a certain age group should manage this with a whammy bar.
  2. If Rolf Harris is thrown in i won't have a leg to stand on. Us 3 little boys will be doing a runner.
  3. I've seen someone do it like that on Youtube Pete. It might end up like that even if i sample the guitarist doing it once i can then set it up on my JamMan where i can trigger it from my pedal when he's playing the heavy guitar riff.
  4. That's not too bad to be honest. The slider is demo'd around 1:22 I could see that working. £60 for one sample tho maybe a bit steep but might check ebay. You never know. Dave
  5. Based on the comments i'm guessing he is a well known bassist ? Dave
  6. Thought that might be the case. I could do the cutting on my JamMan spftware package so no point in downloading Audacity then. Thanks for your help and advice. Dave
  7. That might be where we end up if i can't get the sample done right. Appreciate everyone taking the time to answer me on this. I guess that's why we love BC. Dave
  8. Can you remove the drums from the intro kind of thing tho ?
  9. Drumer has now got back to me saying he could do that and maybe its the easiest option.
  10. Had a listen Steve but prefer the original. We are a 70's Glam covers band trying to reproduce the originals as near possible. Dave
  11. Found it and the first run on the keys has no drums. Will try sampling that Cheers for that.
  12. Our own drummer would be playing the drum part when i trigger the siren from a JamMan pedal but i understand what you meant. Its a possibilty that we use the original and the drummer comes in when the sample is finished or even plays over the top of the original. Dave
  13. Not up to speed on Audacity software but is that a serious option that i could do. I don't mind trying that myself but just didn't think that could be done.
  14. I put it in OFF TOPIC cause it wasn't really bass related. Sometimes its a difficult call which topic somethings should be in and i just played it safe.
  15. That's how we did it at rehearsals but would be good to get the original siren sound if possible.
  16. There's an old thread on BC about this from 2016 but the samples have all been removed from Youtube so no success there either i'm afraid.
  17. Think it was a Yamaha ?? 30 keyboard or something similar with a portamento strip. Dave
  18. Went thru that thread and it tells the OP how to produce the sound using a synth but no actual sound clips i could use. I've tried several searches but still no accurate copy. I have found a synth copy but its not exactly rivetting stuff but would do as a last resort if i added some kind of effects to it Thanks Dave
  19. And here's me thinking i was gonna get some sensible replies............maybe they are the sensible replies Dave
  20. Neigh chance
  21. We are doing Crazy Horses but can't seem to reproduce the keys siren at the start. I generally trigger all effects with my JamMan pedal. Does anyone have an MP3 sample of it by any chance that they would send me. ? Dave
  22. That didn't take long then. You should mention it to them next time you see them.
  23. when i started playing bass in mid 70's the cheap basses really were rubbish. Things have changed quite a bit with some great cheaper basses out there. For me its down to trying the bass to see what its like before buying. Dave
  24. WOW you're well organised Steve.
