  1. After all the searching and various replies and suggestions the singer and guitarist don't think its really needed. Thanks for all the help and advice guys and apologies for wasting anyone's time. Singers and guitarists HUH !!!!
  2. Think i need to watch this. I've never been a big fan of Metallica apart from liking the occassional song but i really enjoy these band documentaries. Bit like watching a soap opera.
  3. Cheers for that Ashweb.
  4. That might help me load into my Jamman pedal as it requires a WAV file. I have an MP3 to WAV convertor anyway so should be able to convert my MP3 file i think. I have a synth download at the moment from JamMan itself that's not too bad and i'll edit that to fit my pedal. If it doesn't sound good thru PA i'll go down the original with drums and our drummer can play over it at the start. Not sure what i'll do in chorus and end section tho but i'll work on that. The start is the main one i think. I've attached the JamMan file below Crazy Horses Sample MP3.mp3
  5. Afraid my phone only does calls and txts. I'm old I'll ask our keys player if he can do it on his phone. He only has a Nord that doesn't have the joystick or slider for pitch change. Good idea tho
  6. Guitarist uses a Les Paul tho but agree most rock guitarists from a certain age group should manage this with a whammy bar.
  7. If Rolf Harris is thrown in i won't have a leg to stand on. Us 3 little boys will be doing a runner.
  8. I've seen someone do it like that on Youtube Pete. It might end up like that even if i sample the guitarist doing it once i can then set it up on my JamMan where i can trigger it from my pedal when he's playing the heavy guitar riff.
  9. That's not too bad to be honest. The slider is demo'd around 1:22 I could see that working. £60 for one sample tho maybe a bit steep but might check ebay. You never know. Dave
  10. Based on the comments i'm guessing he is a well known bassist ? Dave
  11. Thought that might be the case. I could do the cutting on my JamMan spftware package so no point in downloading Audacity then. Thanks for your help and advice. Dave
  12. That might be where we end up if i can't get the sample done right. Appreciate everyone taking the time to answer me on this. I guess that's why we love BC. Dave
  13. Can you remove the drums from the intro kind of thing tho ?
  14. Drumer has now got back to me saying he could do that and maybe its the easiest option.
  15. Had a listen Steve but prefer the original. We are a 70's Glam covers band trying to reproduce the originals as near possible. Dave
  16. Found it and the first run on the keys has no drums. Will try sampling that Cheers for that.
  17. Our own drummer would be playing the drum part when i trigger the siren from a JamMan pedal but i understand what you meant. Its a possibilty that we use the original and the drummer comes in when the sample is finished or even plays over the top of the original. Dave
  18. Not up to speed on Audacity software but is that a serious option that i could do. I don't mind trying that myself but just didn't think that could be done.
  19. I put it in OFF TOPIC cause it wasn't really bass related. Sometimes its a difficult call which topic somethings should be in and i just played it safe.
  20. That's how we did it at rehearsals but would be good to get the original siren sound if possible.
  21. There's an old thread on BC about this from 2016 but the samples have all been removed from Youtube so no success there either i'm afraid.
  22. Think it was a Yamaha ?? 30 keyboard or something similar with a portamento strip. Dave
  23. Went thru that thread and it tells the OP how to produce the sound using a synth but no actual sound clips i could use. I've tried several searches but still no accurate copy. I have found a synth copy but its not exactly rivetting stuff but would do as a last resort if i added some kind of effects to it Thanks Dave
  24. And here's me thinking i was gonna get some sensible replies............maybe they are the sensible replies Dave
  25. Neigh chance
