It's time to make a pick guard β I've ordered a few different sheets of A4 veneer to make something laminated β each sheet is 0.6mm, so 4 sheets should do the trick
The next step will be to scan this and make a paper template, fine tune that, then make something out of thin MDF, then onto the veneer
Hi @TrevorR β I'm posting my queries there as the group has a lot more members, with a specific interest in Wal stuff
Here's the link to the FB Wal page if anyone is interested:

I feel your apprehension! My Stingray build came to a halt due to not wanting to feck things up β now I am confident enough to plug the router in π
My Stingray build is, so far, 6 months slower than yours β I hereby request the mods take this build thread title and give it to me π
Seriously though, any progress?
Cheers @BassBod !
I cannot for the life of me remember who I bought the pre and pickup from though β it was on here about 10 years ago in the Accessories & Other Musically Related Items For Sale section β maybe it was still bassworld or whatever it was called previously β either way the transaction details aren't still available
I agree
I must say that my description of the 201 as a BBOT is wrong β what I really meant was that the bass is high-end and usually those kinds of basses have more expensive bridges
π€
I would say that it is just a thicker bit of BBOT β not dissing the Gotoh 201 but it ain't nothing like the sophistication that a lot of bass folks are spending money on these days β I'm sure that a blind test wouldn't reveal any difference
I saw an Italian Allegro once, called the Innocenti! βΊοΈ
Having done lots of bridge research for my in-progress @Andyjr1515 build I came across this amazing looking bass from Stradi that has a bent bit of tin for a bridge
Personally I'm not sure a bridge is something that does much more than hold the string down at the body end of things β obviously others will disagree, but sustain is hardly ever necessary and didn't mean much to Jaco or Jamerson anyway π

A bit of a nod to the Alpher Mako body shape too I reckon
I have their P, J and MMs in various basses β output is as expected, good and strong, no noticeable difference in output compared with other pickups I use
