Just to clarify, this VR head was made in Vietnam. There is a fair bit of controversy about US v Vietnamese quality issues. From what I can gather, and these opinions are mainly from US forums (not mine) some of the last US ones had quality control issues due to the fact that the staff knew they were about to be laid off. Also apparently some of the earlier Vietnamese ones had teething and quality problems . I have no evidence apart from what I have read on the net, so can only comment on MY Ampeg VR head. It sounds wonderful and has had no issues whatsoever, in fact I much prefer it to my old US made classic head. These VR heads are now around £1600 new plus £140ish for a flightcase.

Hi all 2009 cherry red 335 with ohsc in excellent condition. Gorgeous finish with flame showing through, just never get the time to play it any more. One small ding on headstock and a couple of tiny marks on the back of the body. Would consider part ex for light weight bass combo. Detailed pics available collection from NW Lancs, meet up or can post at cost to UK Thanks for looking

Hi all I am asking a firm £950, available for collection from Northwest Lancs, can post to UK mainland if buyer arranges collection. Willing to meet up or deliver within reason. The bass has a 'JJ' English ash body core with swamp ash wings and is finished in a beautiful black gloss with a bwb pickguard. It has a maple neck with a select birds eye maple fretboard and matching headstock veneer that is truly stunning. The neck profile was taken from my Will Lee jazz so is slim and comfortable and sports hipshot light tuners. All hardware is black and adds to the classic black and maple look. Importantly the pickups are Di Marzio and these compliment the Sadowsky preamp with vintage tone control. I tried some custom wound British ones to start with but they weren't quite right. She weighs in at a tad over 9lbs on the bathroom scales and is very comfortable to play. Includes Shuker hiscox case. Thanks for looking [attachment=188367:P3170702.JPG][attachment=188368:P3310705.JPG][attachment=188369:P3310706.JPG][attachment=188370:P3310707.JPG][attachment=188371:P3310708.JPG][attachment=188372:P3170703.JPG]

All good advice above, let the song 'breathe' with nice lazy grooves rather than too many notes would be my input.
