I believe Jerry Only from the Misfits uses these. He owns a load of them and will buy any that come up for sale.
Having only ever heard him use them I can’t comment on what they’re like as his sound is… very unique.

The original Mark Hoppus signature Precision was a J body with P neck and pickups.
The updated Mark Hoppus signature Jazz was a J body with P neck and pickups.
I don’t think it really matters.

Low, so that my right arm is pretty much straight. I find that I get elbow ache if it’s higher and my arm is bent the whole time.

Did they say where in Nottingham this repair centre is? Or any other info?
If you can find anything out then could it be rescuable?

Couldn’t get past the intro sound of someone throwing a bag of spanners at another bag of spanners.
Sorry.

Last time I bought a set of QPs was about three years ago and they have ‘Seymour Duncan’ on them. As do the set I bought in 2015.
I don’t know if this helps?

Anyone remember the band Gaye Bikers on Acid? They had an amusingly named alter-ego , and sometimes (If I remember correctly) used to support themselves................
Lesbian Dopeheads on Mopeds
A friend of mine is a big fan of The Mission and told me that they also play as a Mission tribute band, which I forget the name of. Apparently The Mission sometimes support themselves playing as their own tribute band.

Reuben sometimes played ‘secret’ shows as Los Skeletos but it was usually them playing new Reuben songs so I don’t know if it counts.
The Alarm once released a single under the name The Poppy Fields, and had a young band playing the song in the video, to prove a point to the music industry.

Alicia Vigil (current Dragonforce bass player) was recently in an episode Paradise City on Amazon Prime.
Jeff Walker (and Bill Steer) from Carcass appeared alongside Lister in his childhood band Smeg and the Heads in Red Dwarf.

Love this. People forget that they started out as a hardcore band and were all decent players.

I’d guess it may be to do with the cost of getting the rights.
I noticed a while ago that commercial stations don’t often play an artist’s biggest hits. For example Gem, our local commercial station in Notts, will regularly play Man In The Mirror (which peaked at 21 on release) but rarely play Billie Jean or Beat It, for example.
I can only guess that the rights for Man In The Mirror are cheaper than the big hits. Though I may be completely wrong.

Malcom McClaren was never punk.
Correct. He was a businessman.

However, I agree with John Lydon, in in that Pop-Punk has sod-all to do with Punk.
Similarly, John Lydon is about as punk as Thomas the Tank Engine.

British punk was maybe a bit more melodic than US punk
I’d be tempted to disagree with this, for various reasons, but that’s another discussion for another day.

Mike Dirnt has always played tasteful, melodic bass parts without getting into full Matt Freeman territory.
I also love Karl Alvarez’s playing on pretty much everything he does. I love how the guitar and bass change as to which is the lead instrument throughout songs.

Some advice please......

I know a lot of musicians and I don’t know a single one who this has ever happened to. It’s something that people often worry about when they start out but as long as you’re well prepared (which it sounds like you are) then your unconscious brain will take over and you’ll be just fine.
Just have fun, be confident, try to relax and don’t think about making mistakes. Overthinking can be a bad thing.
Once you’ve done a few gigs back you’ll have more confidence and none of this will be a worry to you anymore.
But mostly have fun!
