Dave Grohl, guys from The Hives, Dez Cadena, all of Anti-Flag, Chris Shiflett, Dee Dee Ramone, and a bunch of others that I can’t remember right now.

Saw HIM on their farewell tour in 2017. We’ll I actually went to see Biters who were the support but we thought we’d stay for HIM. To say it was their last ever tour you’d think that they’d put some effort in. However they just seemed like none of them could really be arsed to be there and on top of that the singer was AWFUL. Out of key, out of time, probably p!ssed. We left half way through the set.
The other one was Black Sabbath when they headlined Download on their final tour in 2016. It was hammering down and fairly chilly by the time they came on. They were so incredibly boring that I left after about 8 songs.

I’ve been fortunate enough to make some great friends through music, share stages with bands I watched on the TV as a kid, and visit places that in all likelihood I might not have had the opportunity to without gigging, Colditz Castle in Germany being the main one.
Best hobby in the world imo, I’m not a particularly sentimental person but I’m sure that at times in my life music has kept me going/given me that boost I needed, probably without knowing it.Similarly to you, I think I’ve met almost all of my friends (and my wife) through music and most of my most important experiences are somehow music-related.
My life would not be the same without it. Not even nearly.

Ahh.... Odd why Bax and others haven't
Maybe their web guys are still off for Christmas? Or maybe they bumped up the ex. VAT price and hoped that people won’t realise why?
-
Yeah, they’ll be showing the prices ex. VAT now. So, like Bunion said, add 20% plus handling fee from the carrier plus import duty (depending on how expensive a thing you’re buying).

The Tom DeLonge Gibson ES 333 has been out of production for a decade and has been steadily going up in price for the last few years. Now they easily sell for £5000+.
As they were discontinued last year the Epiphone version is now selling for well over £1000 too.

Dee Dee was not blessed with brains. However I still believe he was a musical genius.

I bought a Darkglass pedal from them a couple of months ago. No issues whatsoever. Even got a choose a free (crappy) gift with my order.

I’m pretty sure this is just loud jazz.

Dude needs to get a quieter mouse.

At first I thought it was a gag and she was going to play this

This is how the music industry works.
I have absolutely no doubt that this would still have been released even if Lemmy, Phil and Eddie were still here.

I bought another transmitter for my other gigging bass.
Same.

If you boil them first and fit them while they’re still soft they’ll stay in that shape as they cool.

In a similar vein, Nikki Sixx.
Replaced by Matthew Tripe for an album and a tour, then reinstated when he 'got well'.
Allegedly.
Never heard that one before!

So, was that a genuine Jan '66 (as on the end of the bound neck...) Fender Jazz? No logo, and those machine heads?
I was wondering that same thing.

I don't think so.
IMO most gigs are too long. IMO as a band you've got to have released a handful of successful albums before you can consider playing for over an hour and TBH most bands could do with trimming their sets down to around 30 - 45 minutes with a single song as an encore provided that it has been earned by both the band and the audience.
I agree. Unless you’re a big band then a 40-50 min set is usually plenty. For punk shows a 40 min headline set with no encore is pretty standard.
King Adora used to play 25 min headline sets and it was great!
Though I haven’t seen them live for a long time, I’ve had more than enough of watching Foo Fighters’ festival sets on TV that are 3+ hours long with a 20 minute jam in the middle of every song.

Bad ::: PMT bought a Pro Jazz back in August the first one they sent was clearly a demo model, scratches on body and a ding so returned. Second Jazz turns up, a bit later than there 2 - 3 day turnaround...bass is fine checked serial number on authenticity certificate to serial number on bass..don't match, i've got a white Jazz and certificate is for a black Jazz. Last phone call from them 3 weeks ago saying they would get correct certificate for my Jazz but so far nothing, i know everythings kinda sluggish with the covid but for all it takes to send an update on whats happening can't be hard. Utter rubbish service worst i've ever came accross
PMT have a stupid policy where if you order something over the phone you can only speak to the person who took your order in the event that you have any issues. If that person is on holiday, or just has a day off, when you ring they won’t let you speak to anyone else.
Infuriating.

There still needs to be social distancing measure in place though so audience numbers will be severely limited. Will it be viable for a venue to put on any event?
No.

I honestly thought his collection would maybe 2. 3 at most.

I got a Darkglass Alpha Omega pedal but I don’t remember whether it was in the new year or the very end of last year.
I did buy a Jaguar bass from Black 35 though, which is yet to be built. What happens if it doesn’t arrive until next year? Does that mean it doesn’t count for 2020 and I’m still on the wagon?

If a venue where you played regularly asked you to play for free, given that the current social distancing measures make it difficult for any venue to make money, would you do it, at the risk that without your support the venue may have to close for good?
No.
I read about a Frank Turner show a few nights ago at a smallish venue that was open at around 20% capacity (with social distancing) as an experiment. IIRC it was a 1200 cap venue with around 200 people in.
The venue said that they didn’t cover their operating costs even before paying the artist. So I don’t think that playing for free is going to help venues stay afloat.
Reduced capacity gigs just don’t seem financially viable for anyone.
